Between schools and daycares it is a wonder we haven't come up with the plague.

Hope you all feel better soon!

I have a big old yellow cushion mum that is probably 2 feet across blooming away. I have always planted bulbs and flowers - even in with the veggies. I would surely miss my flowers. I am glad you got them back! :)

The Great Mouse Kill

So this morning I am at the computer goofing before we got ready to go out to breakfast and hit ACE hardware for a new showerhead for Nicole's bathroom. She has been using my master bath but it is now time to set her bathroom up as 'her bathroom'.....so a pink rug, new toothpaste holder, new showerhead, a major cleaning etc, hairdryer for her bathroom....well you know LOL

But out of the corner of my eye, along the baseboard near my soap works comes a mouse. I think, huh, ugh, no way.

I know he is flaky and usually would not be seen but this one has been eating some poison I put out so I know he is not acting right and being seen by me in the morning.

So he is heading along the baseboard to get to the door. I think, he ain't leaving this room alive! :) Muuuuhahaha

I move, scare him back to the back of the bedroom. I run into the garage and open a glue trap. Come back in and put it right behind the door along the baseboard before he can get out of the room.

So I wait....finish up some laundry.....get Nicole dressed....take a shower and we are getting ready to leave. I come in here, no mouse.

I sit down and check online banking to see how much cash I can spend (LOL) and out of the corner of my eye here he comes....little SOB.

He gets right before the glue trap and I can tell he is going to backup.....so I grab my ciggy lighter and throw it at his butt and he moves forward...onto the glue trap.

Tony took him outside, whacked him and he is in the garbage as I type.....HAHAHA

I absolutely hate anything in my house---now I have to find a giant glue trap for the rat dog

wow got tons done today...on high gear....nice for a change from being tired it seems all the time.

We got the mouse done, got our stuff from the store...had great breakfast, came home and went wild. Tony cleaned his hunting/mudroom for me so I could steam clean the floor and he tried on coats/overalls/hunting gear and made a big pile for goodwill....WEE...and threw out boots etc. finally....WEE.

Washed a bunch of windows. I love my tilt windows! :) :)

Cleaned Nicoles bathroom beyond clean. New showerhead installed and more.

Cleaned Nicoles TV room very well also.

Added foam pad to Nicoles bed along with new thicker softer mattress pad. She said her bed was hard. NOW she is in heaven. Did not want to by a new mattress cause heck this is fine but hard lol...so she is set with a soft bed now!

Got a cute decoration outside, my 2 scarecrows, more mums, some pumkins and is adorable in front of the house.....Nicole loves it.

Nicole comes in crying. Crashed her bike. 8 band aids later she was still whining she is sore and hurt. Oh yea, she took a dive on asphalt. Elbows, knees and big toe is nasty. NO SHOES...I tell her shoes gal, shoes and does she listen?, no, just like her momma HAHA

Gave her Benadryl cause her nose is clogged and she is out like a light early! :)

good day!! We got alot done and had fun doing it actually :p

Cousin June and Bill down at Moms from New Jersey. She is a very established watercolor artist. So off to see her tomorrow. Bill likes Tony alot cause they are fisherman so they will hang at the dock all day.....Nicole painted 3 pics for June. She said she is an artist too...one Halloween, one Christmas pic and one is "Who knows"--what are they, abstract? or something like that HAHA --She can't wait to see June. She loves seeing family! Nicole is a kick!

so off to goof around and relax....everyone have a great night!

One of the best natural remedies I've ever used for scrapes and skinned knees is St John's Wort in olive oil. It has a pretty red color, and when applied topically it does a dandy job as an analgesic and is very good for healing nerve damage. If there is no broken skin, use Arnica, but if there IS broken skin- nothing beats St John's Wort.

great day yesterday.....had a blast with the relatives. they drove back early this morning. Sun was warm, breeze was perfect and not a darn fish biting from the dock. but the relaxing on the dock was nice

easy day today

alot of laundry....Tony dragged out a bunch of fishing stuff from the camper and if it sits in there long enough, I just have to wash it even if he didn't use it LOL....the pain in the butt.

So laundry as usual

soap as usual

off to hit grocery...need some fruit for lunches etc.

and then home to find some good project to do quickly and feel like I got something 'extra' done today :p :p

Tony wants to camp one more time. I have to scrap up extra cash for camping over Thanksgiving. He heard about Cades Cove and the elk herd. He wants to wander the national forest and see the elk. I know Nicole would enjoy it. Plus we will wander around Gatlinburg to goof off...just a 3 day trip in the mts. Hope it is not too cold up in TN during Thanksgiving Ugh..lol..but I enjoy any camping trip for sure! So have to research some campgrounds etc and book now. I am hoping that Gatlinburg has Xmas lights up for Thanksgiving..will have to hit their town page and see if that is happening, would be nice to see tho. So off to research all of that.....

looks like a beautiful NC day today...windows are open, fresh air flowing and all is fine in my world so far!

everyone have fun today!

hey Gina

Tony's foot is fine...the rest of him is now falling apart :gig

he got his cholesterol checked again and again and he is BAD! he has the tiny particles and is like 3000 when the count should be 2000.
Dr. put him on meds. Nothing we do can get that darn level down. Dr. said some people just got the bad situation? so....? I am researching into it more on the web and see if I can do anything more....but....ugh

lazy weekend. I hear ya. I love those. With the way I have things going I have many lazy days during the week also. Ahhh, catch up for all those hard farm days HAHA
