I had trouble walking away from the chickies in TSC yesterday, but I've decided I'm not going to get any birds this year. I'd like to, but I'm trying to focus on getting out of here, and just don't really have the room to do what I want. :/

You win Pinky, you're absolutely correct. So much for that idea  I havd a neighbor wanting me to get going on some bobwhites for/with him.

Those meaties I took to him last night...there are FOUR left :ep Coon. dog. :barnie and now my buddy has the flu to boot :( aint that just a kick in the head?!?!

I have had company all afternoon, still do. DD and her hubby are here visiting, have been for about 3 hours though, and everyone is in conversation so I decided to take a break because I'm getting hoarse anyway. Mom and niecey just left.

I went down to Tupelo to Sam's today and stocked up on a few things, and got a few items for mom and my aunt. We went about 45 minutes further South to pick up some birds as well. May as well make it a worthy trip, right? So I wound up with 12 hens, a roo, and 3 guinea hens for $50! All purebred birds at that. I got a couple Ameracaunas, about 6 Jersey Giants, 2 RIR's and 2 Barred Rocks. The roo is a JG, all of them are young birds, still laying. I am keeping what i want and taking the rest to the market tomorrow. I also have to go pick up the 4 remaining meaties from my friends house and will be taking care of them till he gets over the flu. Bless his heart, that just stinks he lost most of them within 2 hours of getting them *smh* but we'll get him back in business ;) I'm going to give him several replacement birds when he gets better. :)

WHEW, it has been a LONG week ya'll!!!!
