I had some rather disturbing dreams last night and I am SO tired this morning :/ Every dream was either America was getting invaded or we were under attack or having to leave our home for whatever reason. It was a crappy night to say the least. I got up at 1 a.m. after the second dream and tried to clear my head so I could rest, didn't work. No idea where those came from out of the blue like that. I haven't had a dream in a long time, but last night more than made up for it.
I'm selling the last pot belly today. A guy from south of me wants the sow, so he's driving over an hour to get her and then maybe I can get that stall cleaned up and get some coops built in it instead of it being a pig cottage I have so much work to catch up today, I probably won't get anywhere near done this week and will have extra chores all through next week to get caught back up and on schedule. I'm behind mostly on the garden stuff right now because of all the animal stuff. I have to put the wheels on the chicken tractor today FINALLY so I can move it without help and get those chickens some fresh grass under their feets. Then we have a small coop to build for my friends chickens, and a coop to build for my other birds.....so much planned, so little time
Guess i better get moving after I catch up reading here for a bit
Ahhhhhh *stretches out in this immense journal space without bumping anyone*
Today was good, we got the cold hardy veggies out of the greenhouse and set up in raised bed style along either side of the walkway leading into the greenhouse. It looks really nice, especially with all that green stuff out there The kale, spinach, onions, and lettuce are looking GREAT now! I'm getting set up to start squash and cukes in there tomorrow, as well as probably some more lettuce and more peppers and tomatoes. We hauled several more loads of manure to the garden area, and got the pig sent off on her merry way after lunch. Sometime tomorrow begins demo of the pig cottage I LOVE demolition even better than building Things are going really good this last half of the week, and we got a good bit done today. Now WHY in the world would the county start salting the roads this afternoon?! Yeah....possibility of snow on the way, on the first day of SPRING I hope it heads elsewhere I'm getting tired of waiting to plant the garden already!!!
I managed to get some peas in Sunday but other than that we have grey skies here too. This time of year I despise the snow. You guys get salt before the storm?? Heck if we get salt a day after it's just plain luck. On another note the pesky cricket that finds it's way into your house and starts singing loud all night makes me crazy. I love them outside though.
thats one thing that REALY impresses me about this area...they get out well befroe the storm and brine the roads like crazy, even if they are only expecting a little bit
