Unless we get a few inches, they don't touch my road. W/it being so short, and only having 7 houses on it, they figure it's not needed. As a result, it's not unusual for my street to turn into a sheet of ice. It also needs to be repaved. In some places, the truck just barely fits!

I just got done with a food truck I got this afternoon after a day of running errands. Didn't get the truck till after 3, so was very late getting home...everyone just ate whatever they could scrounge here tonight. I'm tired now

This morning I went and got feed and the feed store was out of hay, so went to the co-op for hay, got a tire put on the rim for the car, picked up an e-cig for me, and tobacco for the guys, stopped by the hardware store for more supplies to finally get the wheels on that chicken tractor, and something else.....but it seems like all that was last week anyway

I had a full pallet of bananas and a full pallet of grapes this time, along with a box of onions, a couple boxes of peppers, several boxes of those nasty not carrot things...oh yeah parsnips :sick and quite a few boxes of spinach as well. I got so tired of crawling up the side of the truck to get those top boxes :p I started my supper of bacon egg and cheese sandwich and DH had to finish it, I just got the bacon started before someone pulled in my driveway. At least I didn't have to drive all over creation this time, I just called 5 neighbors, and they called their families, and then I took the rest up to the Dollar General parking lot about an hour ago and gave the rest out. I still have one box of bananas and one box of spinach that the other neighbor is coming to get here in a bit and I'm done! BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT first thing in the morning I have to go get another load :woot :th

I HOPE HOPE HOPE it does NOT get nasty weather through here tonight, else I will be keeping my tail HOME tomorrow till the roads clear!

What's my name? I forget....

I have been SO incredibly unbelieveably BUSY today. I seriously just sat down :/ We got the truck this morning and got back to the house at 3 just in time to start dinner. The last house we stopped, my elderly neighbor, gave me a bag of catfish with the demand to bring him a plate  He HAS to know I love him, because i sure didn't feel like frying a bunch of fish and hushpuppies tonight!! Anyway, I got that done and took him a huge plate loaded down. I got home about 20 minutes ago, to have the latest writing shoved at me by DH to proofread, so I did that, and NOW I get a bit of me time and nobody is on here :th

Anyway, I am so lucky, while working my butt off to get dinner at a reasonable time, DD decides to start in with all these elaborate plans for her birthday (ya know because she DESERVES all this STUFF just because she'll be 16... ) and got me aggravated just in time for hubby to get home. She swore up and down her daddy gave her permission to do x, x, and x, and daddy set her little lying butt straight on a few things after he heard all that was going on when he got time to settle in and find out what all was going on. Mind you which was AFTER she had been bugging the mess out of me the last half hour while I'm trying to FEED them GRRRRRR!!! She is such a beligerent little spoiled brat sometimes I swear, but never in front of her daddy!!! :smack

Tomorrow we are supposed to go to the market....but I don't know. I'm exhausted. I have bills to figure out and pay. I have a few errands to run....I just don't see it happening. This house is in serious need of cleaning. Wish i could just open the doors and tilt it on an angle and hose the darn stupid thing out!!!

I'm not crabby and cranky at all.......

I so hear ya! I'm about ready to move out. I don't get enough sleep and am to the point where I just don't feel like doing anything. If it would warm up, I'd probably feel better, but it seems like all I'm doing is working.

Well i didn't make it to the market, or getting the bills done. My legs are so sore, especially my calves...climbing in and out of the back of the truck from the side is painful the next day apparently :p I have basically sat on my butt today. I did make 4 pizzas and helped the neighbor kid with her Trigonometry for 3 hours, and took DD to work, and got laundry going, and fed the furry and feathered masses. But, basically I've been lazy, and it felt GOOD!

I didn't realize I had so many chickens...well I did, but I have obviously been ignoring it for the most part lately. I have about 60 now, plus the turks, ducks, and guineas. And then theres the cows....and i think I seriously just noticed how much we've been spending on feed  I am such a tard sometimes :p I've just been so busy...I guess too busy to notice :hu Either way, it's about time to downsize some more of them to get back to a reasonable number. The girls out front will be going to market when they get out of this ugly butt molt they're going through, but that could be a few more months at best. The roos are about to go to the pot next week....though I said that a few weeks ago... okay, honestly, if I have time they will :D

I can NOT wait till next weekend...and it's for a mean momma reason that I am going to so thoroughly enjoy. DD gave her dad the excuse of "but I'm working now" when told to finish up one of her chores...to which he laughed and replied, "You call THAT work...you got a LOT still to learn kid" Next weekend though, she has to work TWO whole days :ep yeah...about 18 hours, and I can't wait to see her little butt wore slap out from being on her feet and running constantly through that restaurant cleaning up other peoples messes! It does suck that it's the day before and the day of her birthday, but she could use some maturity building tasks lately. Am I mean for loving this? Sorry, don't answer that, I really don't care anyway :p

I told my eldest once that I hope she stumbles, hope she falls, and hope her life is hard at times..the child looked at me like i had three heads! But I do hope they have hard times!! I do, because I love them, and in order to TRULY thoroughly appreciate the good times life deals, they NEED the hard times! And what better time to have those hard times than when you have mom and dad still to fall back on?!?! So far, most of youngest DD's life has been cushion after cushion and she has not truly felt the harsh reality of life and work. It's been a long time coming, and when she gets that first check, I BET she appreciates it ;)

Anywho...that's just what's been on my mind lately.

We watched a movie tonight. For those who haven't seen it, I won't go into detail, but it was a really good movie, one of my new favorites. Last Ounce of Courage...was a bit cheesy here and there, but the message was outstanding, and it really made me think. All the politics and crap in the media really bugs me, the taking of our freedoms for the sake of nothing other than argument really...just peeves me off. The movie made me wish I had gone into the military, but I would have never been able to take orders from a man back then, and I knew that was my weakness, so I never signed up. Had I not met DH, I would have went in after mom recovered from her surgery, but I guess it wasn't meant to be, just like college wasn't meant for me. BUT, that doesn't mean that I can't be more proactive in my approach to things NOW. It just made me think, that if I ever have to sacrifice my life for my God, my country, or my family...my only regret would be, that I didn't have another life to give after all was said and done. There are so many folks, our soldiers and their wives and families, that dare to step across that line every single day and take that chance, and a lot of them feel the same way....it just makes me really thankful to live in such a great country, all made possible by that mind set. So I want to thank our soldiers and their families, for their service and sacrifices, made daily. I want to honor them every step I take as an American and never be lax, never give up without a fight, and never let them down. I'm looking for the next class to get a gun permit, just because I can, not that i actually NEED or will ever excercize the right. I spend a lot of time around kids, so likely won't be toting a gun, but I think it's necessary to have that right. I'm looking for the next opportunity to stand up for what I believe in, and to stand up, rather than sit down or be pushed around. People die every day just so I can live and not just to live, but to live well. I think I should just start taking advantage of what I have instead of taking so much for granted.
