WBF, you just made me think of this quote.

Nathan Hale September 22, 1776

I only regret that I have but one life to give for my country.

People die every day just so I can live and not just to live, but to live well. I think I should just start taking advantage of what I have instead of taking so much for granted.
So true. Good words to live by :)

It's one I've known for years. He gave his life for this country. At the age of 21, he was hung by the British for being a spy.

Yeah I just read his bio. Pretty interesting. Graduate of Yale at 18, then teacher, and left teaching to fight the British under Washington. Love his spirit!!!

I'm hiding in my tack shed. I still have air coming in, but it's not as bad as it was. Cindy is trying to help me type.

Well I've got DD a savings account set up, paid bills, and am taking a break from planting things in the greenhouse. I am so tired! Sleeping on the couch gets you woke up at 4 a.m. :/ So I've basically been up since then, though I laid there till DH went to work because I didn't want to see or talk to him this morning. We had a huge fight last night over DD and her birthday plans that she has changed no less than 4 times :barnie DH and DD teamed up and told me how mean i was being, and that I never "give" and really just peed me off big time, so one of us was sleeping in the living room. My schedule isn't important around here to these takers. I'm supposed to give in at the slightest whim and change my whole week to suit them. So, needless to say I am on the warpath, and DH better NOT come home running his mouth to me again. WE(me and DD) got it worked out this morning and NEITHER of us had to give in. DH told me I never compromise, well let him stick that in his freakin pipe and smoke it, and I hope he chokes on it this time. :somad If he'd have just stayed out of it and let DD throw her stupid little tantrum and get over herself, everything would have been just fine. She'd have realized her plans could be worked out without interfering with mine. She was told months ago she'd be helping on the farm this week of Spring Break and then have time to celebrate her birthday, and so I gave her from Wednesday afternoon on to do as she pleased which to any sane individual is perfectly reasonable. It is NOT my fault her initial plans didn't work, and it is NOT my fault she agreed to work Friday and Saturday, but I got the blame for about 3 hours last night nonetheless. I'm tired of getting stepped on, and i'm not taking it anymore. They can fuss and argue and call me what they want and tell me I'm being whatever, but I am standing my ground this time, and from here on out. Some people better get used to the new me, cause she's not leaving!!! :old They know where the door is if they wanna hit it :tongue

"I" don't "give".....of all the people to say something stupid like that to..... *smh* They better get a clue, before i stop giving so they can appreciate :smack

Rant over. Now I have more squashes to go put in dirt if you'll excuse me please...

I so know how you feel! I no longer take crap from my hubby either. And, if he doesn't like it, he's SOL! :hugs

So, DD's birthday is on Saturday?

I'm sorry you and DH had a fuss - but, sometimes you just gotta stand up for yourself. My DH and I don't fuss often, but when we do it's usually a doozie! After a day or so, we can usually discuss it rationally and try to figure out a way to keep it from happening again.

It's hard though when kiddos are involved....

:hugs :hugs
