On another note I kinda hate talking about school I wish I could go back and get a degree now. Always makes me think of missing out on college

that door isn't closed to you, particularly with internet-accessible schools.

Psh...tell my finances that That's the only problem right now. IF DH can go back to work and IF we can get this house paid for, and IF DD ever gets out and IF IF IF....

I can't wait to go back! But, I am looking at about 5 more years minimum before i can REALLY think about doing it. I'm so impatient :/

I used to work for a private institute of higher learning. There used to be a ton of resources and grants out there to basically pay people to go to school (it has been a while though, so my info is dated). I'm sure it's still out there.

Someone as internet-savvy as you should have no trouble doing a little grant research. I imagine in just a few months you could find something perfect for you.

Crud! I did not realize how late it is getting! I have to get to bed. I gotta get up at 4 to milk the goat and be at work an hour away by 7:30!!!! PLUS I have to load up a bunch of chickens to take with me and prep a box for a couple of the new babies for her broody to take.

I wish brother. I have looked for some. I just can't ever tell the real deal from the stinkin scams If you can remember any, let me know. I hesitate just searching, they want so much personal info and well if it's a scam....identity theft, etc. Not that they would get far by stealing MY identity but ya know what I mean

I went back at 43. Just got my degree at 48. You're never too late!

Anna I am going to seriously start looking into grants. What did you go for?


A farmers day starts before dawn...I have been up since 3 am, got bible study and prayer time done, and now I am about to go out in the dark and milk a goat...that is AFTER I catch her. This should be fun

Work has taken an interesting twist today as well. I am selling the boss some chickens to add to her flock, and today we are moving her flock and coop to the new place. I hope everything goes well. I dislike messing with other folks chickens....dunno why I like my own chickens, but other peoples chickens are like other peoples dogs to me. Is that weird? Either way I gotta run down a bunch of chickens and cage them for transport first thing this morning and it doesn't sound like much fun to me Maybe I'll be home by noon to work on the new goat shed here though since we are getting such an early start.

I went back in my 30s, and got my degree in biology. In a way, I'm glad I didn't go right out of school. I think I learned more than I would have, and appreciated the opportunity more.

Yeah I think I will learn more now too. I am glad I got custody of my sister and didn't get to go in a way, but I have to wonder where would I be right now if things had not worked out the way they did But then, I would have mised out on so much of what I have and know now too. I just wonder sometimes, but I guess it all happens as it supposed to anyway.

I AM SO SLEEPY! The chicken wrangling wasn't all that bad. I got home by 12:30 and DH is gone to get nails so we can work on the goat shed. Speaking of goat, that nag tore down my chicken run last night :/ Time for tape! I may tape her to a tree so she can't cause any more trouble I gotta fix that too now. Oh well, just a bit more time and I will have a better solution. I'm getting anxious to get it done!!!
