I wonder if I could just add it to the bottom of the tomato planting hoes in the hollow stumps though to build up for drainage and then top with soil....I don't have an outhouse  Yet anyway ;) I have lots of spent bedding and a lot more coming with all the new chickies. This is gonna be so cool, and I can teach my kiddo and neices and nephew how to plant this way too. Now I can't wait to get back outside. DD is out for Spring Break this week, so we can really get a few of these going :D :D
You will need to add LOTS of nitrogen to it first.
It will suck the life out of the soil and plant other wise.
I have lots of chicken poop, so put it in first, then some sawdust, or mix it with the sawdust, then soil on top?
Dust under hot poo. Then a good layer of leaves and such before dirt.

Note to self: NEVER tell a lie it makes your stomach feel queasy.

So I LIED I'm a LIAR now UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :he :he

I can't even say it was intentional, just shocked muttering more than flat out. I have to rehome my dog, which is bad enough, though she is a thorn in my side kind of dog. She killed 2 chickens, so I posted her on CL looking for a GOOD home. She's half Pitbull half Lab(bird dog shoulda known *sigh*), but I just put Lab and to reply to the ad for more info, so I can screen people, and to let them know she's not full blooded. So this guy emails his phone number and I honetly forgot to tell him she is mixed, I tell them with what if they ask. I don't want folks thinking they can take her and have a fighting dog, she aint a fighter! If they don't want her when they see her fine. I have raised Pitbulls for years, and have no issue with them. So I forget others are SO terrified blah blah blah....well I call back to say she's mixed and he says, "No problem, as long as she's not mixed with PITBULL or something....and I said...NOooo...WHY DID I SAY THAT?!?!?!?! So I ended up emailing him back apologizing for lying, and letting him know, sorry I wasted his time. I just feel like such a jerk, and feel like slapping him for being so dog racist :barnie

I just want to SCREAM! PITBULLS ARE NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT more aggressive than ANY OTHER DOG people.......UGH WHAT EVER! :somad :hit

I'm SO mad at myself!!! As soon as I said it I wanted to throw up..I can't lie to save my life. Didn't want to anyway, but it just threw me off and I lied. Why do I have to be so stupid sometimes? GRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I'm an idiot ya'll...just so ya know who you're keeping company with :/

Sorry bout the rough day, but think of it this way - not everyone would have had the courage to go back and tell the truth. They would have let the people find out the hard way.

Do you want me to send you some utter pins for goats? You can get them on-line, just rub them in a salve, insert into the opening in the nipples, remove when milking and then replace. They don't hurt the animal, and has properties to keep the nipple opening clean from debris.

We used them on our goats, and as far as I know they are humane to use.

Leave it up to me to come up with a solution to help, and its the worst idea ever....

LOL :hugs Almost EXACTLY the same thing happened to me last year with the EXACT cross of dog! We had a chocolate pit/lab cross that looked like a chocolate lab. I advertised him and got a call. He never asked if he was pure or not(from the pic he looked pure) and I never thought to say anything. It just never came to mind. He set up a time to come look and I told dh. The first thing dh asked was if I had told him he was part pitt. I had to call him back and let him know that he was 1/2 pittbull. It was fine with him and he took the dog.

 This girly LOOKS Pitbull, but only because she is a brindle. she's gorgeous, and such a sweet nature. Those chickens she killed didn't even break the skin on either of them, she was very very obviously just "retrieving" the girls. Sad but, with no bird dog hunting training at all, I'd say that's pretty darn good!!! I hope someone with kids takes her, she LOVES to play fetch and tug of war with my little niece. *sigh* Poor dumb dog has such a bad rep and didn't even do nothing...okay...let me rephrase that...nothing MUCH! ;)

Well the baby did get the tape off one side last night...little theif. BUT...I got 2.5 cups of milk from the other side this morning! :woot

Niece is over now, and she wants to try to milk Claire...THAT should be fun :D

I may have the pup rehomed. I have several folks responding today. I'm playing email tag with two of them now :D I HOPE HOPE HOPE I am screening well enough!!! :fl

The other guy emailed back. The one I lied to :hide I still feel like crawling in a hole about that...*sigh* He's glad I told him, but seemed very disappointed :( I tried to direct him to another Lab I saw on CL though, so maybe he'll find the right one for him. Apparently he had a run in with a not so nicey Pitbull a few years ago, so can't blame him. I just wish folks would stop abusing the breed. My big girl is my chicken sitter. NOTHING gets by her and that rooster!!! I want a replacement, but may not be able to find a proper one. I have already had to rehome 2(this being the second) and I don't know if my heart can take having to do that again. :( Or my flock actually...5 down with those 2 dogs, and both at around 6 months old, ya know...AFTER getting attatched, getting the dog house trained, and socialized to the family!!!!! :th It's just too much. I hope Miss Kitty lives to be a hundred. So far, there is no other that meets the standard and I don't plan on looking again any time soon.
