Chuck lemons at his head. *nod nod*
I bought a lemon a couple years ago from this shady car salesman...maybe i should go find THAT lemon and chck it at his head, then I might be satisfied with the results.
Why do all of our conversations end up reminding me of Monty Python?

my sister was bitten by a moose once.....

Annaraven-He will DEFINATELY lose his job going that route.

stoneeater-that 15.9% is what scares the mess outta me. $4 an hour...would be LESS TAN $160 a week. :th

Marianne-I will talk to my CNA, and had planned on it, as soon as they are back in the office. I just wanted to know if I was understanding everything right...according to stoneeater, unfortunately, I am :/

VickiLynn-Testifying against a boss like that sounds like a whole lot of a big pain in the butt.

This "job" has already been turned into the state, because we were on assistance, so there is no avoiding it, no cash under the table, no NOT filing of taxes(not that we would anyway) and no way out of this mess unless the employer gets his act together. Any threats of calling the IRS or Worker's Comp folks, will land us back jobless, back on assistance, and back on unemployment...not to mention back to not being able to make our bills. I thought this was going to be a legitimate GOOD thing when DH landed this job. Guess not. :barnie

But you might end up having an adjusted gross income so low that you don't end up paying that much tax.

The past two years our income has dropped so much that we have had to pay very little and have even qualified for money back. How strange for us! But we also have office in home deductions, etc.

A lot less income, but for some reason, it seems like we have more now than ever.

We will still be responsible for worker's Comp insurance, and Unemployment insurance this way. I don't see any feasible way we can make it on such little income unless we don't pay it, and we don't have the luxury of being able to afford sliding by on either of those.

I still have homeowner's insurance to get straightened out as well, and little time to do that. This is just so frustrating, and the pile of crap seems to be growing every day with every new change. :/ My finances suck right now. Just when I think we may be able to get our head back above water somebody comes along and knocks us back down....makes me want to SCREAM :barnie
I have pinched pennies until they squeal for mercy lately, and the more I pinch seems like the more we have to pinch. stretch a dollar and get a extra nickel and there is immediately someone there wanting my nickel!!! I'm just so so sick of this crap :rant

DH went in and talked to his boss this morning. Apparently he was already making preparations and was on the same page as we were. He will be deducting taxes and paying worker's comp/unemployment by the end of next pay period. Getting all set up to do it now. Obviously wifey lit a fire under his tail

In stranger news...I got the fence finished at moms in 3 hours today, and came home and started cleaning on DD14's bedroom since she is gone and can't whine about what I toss out. Little niece and nephew next door came and got a LOAD of stuff, after my 4 hours and 4 garbage bags of cleaning. I am SO tired!!! DD had better keep this room clean this time or I might have to kill her  I am only about 1/4 of the way into the mess that she calls hers. It should only take about 12 more hours to defunk her slob hut. IF she doesn't keep it clean, and mind you from here on out there will be monthly inspections, but IF she doesn't, she'll lose her door. My thinking is...if I take it off the hinges and her privacy is out in the open...she won't want anyone seeing her precious "stuff" so she'll keep it up. Maybe it'll work. OR maybe she'll be permanently without a door. She is already losing her chest of drawers over this...they were full of junk and old clothes that she didn't want to get rid of :barnie Either way...wish me luck.

TOMORROW I have another fence to go put up :/ Paying job, so eh..I guess I'm ready for it  I never want to see field wire again after this! I meed to mend my own fence but can't find the time. Goats are eating my chickens grass :smack I put the dog on them this afternoon and let her run them ragged for a while until they decided to jump the low spot back into their own darn fence. The dog had fun, and I didn't have to run quite as much to get them directed to their quarters. Stupid goats!

I got part of the grass cut today. BEFORE I do the fence tomorrow I have to haul a bed and some wood for my mother from the furniture store and help her set it up, then haul a bed to my house for DD's room. Bunk beds are going in the spare room. DD sleeps on the top and piles junk on the bottom...so yet another thing she'll be losing. SO tomorrow afternoon I guess I am back to working on that room unless the job runs until dark, which it very well may.

I got a lotta stuffs to do. I have to get a rail put on my back deck before the end of the week. Thursday through next Tuesday I will be horse/dog sitting for the neighbors across the street while they go on vacation. Maybe sometime I can squeeze it in between everything else. :hu I am running in circles lately. Get up at dawn, go down at around 10 and run like mad all day. Sheesh...I need a vacation! I am having to do mine and DD's chores while she is on vacation. What a total brat..I shoulda went and made her stay and do all this work. She owes me BIG TIME!!!

I forgot I have to make butter and mayo and freeze some milk and eggs. I have gotten several carrots out of my garden, and a few sweet peas this last week. Nieces and nephew fought over who would get the peas to eat raw  They are so silly. My garden is looking pretty good. I wish I could spend a whole day out there in it, with nothing else on my crazy to do list.

I also hatched a one eyed turkey poult with crossbeak today :( I'm thinking it won't make it. *sigh* It's pitiful.

Don't want to make you jealous, WTF, but i spent my whole day in the garden, drinking or making iced tea, picking green beans or munching on blackberries and blueberries, and getting strange looks from my cats.

It was darn hot though. And my internet was down all day. So the universe remains in balance. :frow

Me too. But at least I don't have to go to the hay auction for a bit, so maybe I'll be able to get caught up on some other stuff.

Well TECHNICALLY, no work today. I started out this morning with tending the animals as usual, then running to town to get mom's matresses and to the lumber yard for wood for slats for her new bed, to the bank, and to the grocery store. Took the stuff by her house, unloaded those MASSIVE stupid matresses  and came home. Then I finished mowing the yard, fried fish and hushpuppies for lunch :drool loaded the mower back onto the truck, worked 5 hours in DD's bedroom, loaded her chest of drawers up to take to mom's and took those over. Then to the doctor office to pick up DH's inhaler in another town. Had to run by the store there and went by the farmer's market while close and got some fresh produce to tide me over until mine comes in. They had the BESTEST EVER peaches!! SO juicy and peachy yum! Anyway, ran home and watered the garden, put the dog on the goats again to herd them BACK WHERE THEY BELONG :somad and took a quick fast and in a hurry shower. Then I fried up some burgers and ate supper, and now here I is, exhausted again :th

I still need to go pick turnip greens and finish up the laundry I started like 100 hours ago this morning. But but...I don't wanna!!!!! I want to vegetate :p Okaaaaay...going to do it :/

Perhaps some outside person should "tip off the IRS" and let them know that the employer is, shall we say, not playing by the rules, without mentioning any names. The IRS can figure this out very easily with an audit and the employer will have to, as we say in the Navy, COME TO J*sus on this one. DH can't lose a job if he doesn't know who "blew the whistle". It should happen while DH and the employer are in the same space at the same time so the employer can't "suspect" DH. Might just work. Who knows? It is after all, just a thought. :idunno

The employer knows he has DH over a barrel and is using that to protect himself. Frankly, that stinks. He needs to be horse whipped!
