TWO nice litte suprises today! I got my first red ripe tomato from the garden this afternoon, and I recieved the soap sampler from Betta Creek this afternoon in the mail :D :D I call it a good day ;)

Not much else going on. apparently it doesn't take much to get me excited either  These were my highlights people

Buff is still broody, garden is still there, animals are all much the same etc. etc. I haven't done much today, been feeling kinda ill, so I have been lazy trying to get feeling better for FISHING Wednesday!!!!!!!! I am very very jealous. I've neglected our vegetable patch. Or what would be our veggie patch if I actually planted it. I hope it's not too late.

I gotta ask ... how do you guys change the title of your threads?!?! I've looked all over and just don't see it. Am I blind?
Go to page one, first post, down at the bottom right click edit and you can access the title that way :)

Yeah, and we had 8 inches of snow here when you were planting there. :D Don't worry, I'll be there before you know it.

All joking aside...your garden is looking GREAT considering all the crap circumstances you have been through to get that far!!! I am glad yours is looking better and things are growing for you :)

Awww, shucks, thanks, sis. The beans still need weeding. The green beans I planted a week ago are popping up when I checked tonight too.

The picture of the little garden doesn't do it justice. I have a plan for that garden. ;) As the melons spread out in the yard, I'm going to heavily mulch, effectively killing the grass underneath. When I clean it up in the fall, viola! the garden dirt area as been doubled!

Sounds like a good plan :thumbsup

I never did get mine finished with the tiller. We are still digging some by hand when we get more plants to set out. I'm thinking of doing a few more rows of beans, and have another couple of tomatoes already. I just keep forgetting to update on the challenge thread :hu SO busy! I don't even know how many tomatoes I have out there anymore  Not enough probably :p I was very excited to get that first red one, though I am a bit disappointed it is so small. Not enough rain. Hose doesn't do half what a good downpour does. :/
