I don't even remember their names!! :he It has been 7 years or better since I last saw them, and they were ALL practically babies then.

Well, do what YOU think is best. Don't let yourself get suckered into it by guilt or weird obligations for people you don't know. :)

Well for the kids futures in THIS economy, and the way i know their granddaddy would have wanted them to be raised...as SS as possible...I know if they came here it would be terrific for them, and perhaps for us as well. :hu I don't like my cousin, their mother, and everybody knows i can't stand her...so no guilt going on, it's more akin to begging than guilt tripping. ALL of my family knows, that IF you EVER cross me...I'm DONE with you and no love lost when it's over either. If not, the shirt off my back is as good as yours if you need it. Those kids have done nothing against me, and this is not FOR their mother, but instead for them, and partilly for my dear uncle whom I miss terribly, to honor his memory through them in a sense, because he taught me everything I know about gardening. ;) Taking them in would be the honorable thing to do :hu I love my family, all 10,000 of them  Mom's side is HUGE, and I know all the way to the 4th and 5th cousins by first name basis usually, with the exception of these kids, and I would like to get to know them. I dunno if it is the right thing per se, or the BEST thing for ALL, but it would be good if we let it be. God's Will be done...that's all I can say. If it is to be, the door will fly open, if not, another door will open in it's place for those kiddos. I am willing.

Wow. I think I have some aunts and uncles and a couple cousins. I cannot imagine a big family. Ick. Holidays must be horrid.

Wait. So the mom didn't know the age and gender of her kids?

Is she related to my mom?
Different cousin there  I dunno if the mom does either though :hu I hate that we don't know these children better, but they live 300+ miles away from us. *sigh* What to do?
Um...sounds like a mess a little bit....

I'd go pee on that stick, pray for a big fat positive, and then tell the family, "Sorry, can't, got my own kid coming (BIG SURPRISE) and not sure how I'm going to handle things if I take these 3."

:hide

I'm just yankin' yer chain - but seriously, I feel for you.

I know a gal here who can't seem to get enough kids. They are literally yours, mine, ours, and the ones we take in. She has 2 biological plus 1 adopted from previous marriage. He has 2 (1 that lives with them) from previous marriage, they have one biological together, two siblings they adopted (which are also the siblings to the one she adopted with her ex), and two years ago her niece came to them. That's 8 in the home, and she wants more. Back in 2009 when CPS was investigating us (thanks to the insane InLaw Posse) she kept telling me in one breath that they want to adopt a sibling group, and in the next breath "if they tell you that the kids have to be out of the home, tell them you want them to come to my house. At least I'll make sure you get to see them regularly!"

First time i ever remember feeling panicky about someone trying to get my kids.

Why big sister? More fights, drunken brawls, and kids underfoot. And all that obligation. Ugh.
