I'm quite happy without FB. Lol. As for spanking... more about setting limits... doesn't have to be physical. No limits causes psychosis. Free fall. Not good.

I like FB but it just annoys me the way some are so judgemental on there sometimes. I try not to be a judging person, try not to gossip, try not to want to choke people, but eh...it was just one of those days suppose. People ARE entitled to their opinions, but sheesh, can't it at least make sense and not include trying to change everyone else, or be derogatory, or condescending?! I love people in general, but sometimes i get so antisocial due to all the two faced gossip and ridiculous attitudes towards others choices in life.

My friend is a good citizen, its her neighbors that are out of control! :p

I also have another good friend that was spanked as a child. When she sees an out of control child she says, "my dad would have spanked us for that for sure!", then she would add, "and we would NEVER do it again". :p She is a well developed adult with a degree, a great job, owns a house etc. Abi is right, kids need limits, my sister sure did, she is a big fat mess now. I never disobeyed my parents and I still follow the rules to a fault as an adult. If that sign says the beach is closed (happened this weekend actually), and there is nobody there to see, I STILL stay off that beach...even if I drove an hour to get there AND there are other adults on the beach. I get the hives if I have to disobey any rule.

I can't lie :/ I either get sick from guilt or get caught....EVERY. TIME.

I know folks that got disciplined, not just spanking or some not even spanking, that have turned out great, and others with no discipline that are absolute idiots to this day. There is a LOT to be said for parents that care enough to discipline, no matter how they choose to do it. Again, just my opinion, and what worked for us. Not every kid is the same.

I just suck at lying. No guilt, but stress at getting caught... stress at remembering my story... lol. Lamoid. Did you know if a child cannot lie well by kindergarten it is considered social impedement. I read it on a site about ages and stages. If you cannot lie, you suck at social stuff.

When I was in high school, if the class was planning some joke on the teacher, they'd never let me in on it. Reason? The teacher would be sure to ask me if I knew who was responsible, and I couldn't lie! I'd never say anything if I wasn't asked, but if asked, I HAD to tell the truth.

Being a teacher for 15 years taught me how to creatively tell the truth w/o making the parents mad. :D

Take a deep breath and say this a few times:

People are stupid. Nothing I say or do will make them smarter, so I should move on and ignore them.

You can also say something like:

Stupid is as stupid does.

I will not sink to their level.

and

If I continue talking to this person, I will begin losing valuable brain cells.

Seriously, people freaking suck. :p I have my socialite moments, but for the most part, I tire of people rather quickly, and shortly after tiring of them, I start to resent their existence. Needless to say, I am not a happy customer service provider, nor am I a good restaurant server.

I had a few people on FB who proved themselves to be truly ignorant and disgusting individuals when they flew their true colors about certain political events (I will NOT go into that here, because I have seen similar trends on this board rise and get squashed as well.)

I told them I was ashamed to even know them, and unfriended their asses immediately.
