I'm sure they'll remember it...but I am SOOO glad they have to clean their rooms tomorrow  Aunt Cindi needs a break from being the target!!! It's HARD to keep up with them ALL DAY! I did still get things done though :D We made homemade pizza and I made 2 loves of bread and got laundry done. And I am sooo tired

Of course!!! What else goes good with homemade breads?!?! I have to make our sauce due to mine and DD's dietary needs. She's allergic to MSG, and I am sensitive to too much sodium. I make all our sauces...thus the want for LOTS of tomatoes this garden season ;)

Do you remember me mentioning the "Practical Produce" cook book? It was put out by a family in WI in 1997 In the introduction they talk about a lot of things, including giving thanks to God. Bible verses are sprinkled throughout and the chapters are organized by produce item.

(Be back in a about 20 minutes or so, the eldest DD is frantically trying to complete a paper and needs the computer).

That seems vaguely familiar....maybe I should go look for that book. :D Do you have a copy? If so....Where didja get it? I pray over my garden and ground. I thought it was strange myself, but I am thankful for everything and never heard of anybody praying over their produce  except me :D

I think I was so nervous and made such a mess I just thanked God that it was over the last time I slaughtered. I had only done it a few times before when I was a kid, and it was nerveracking!!!

I always figure, while you're on your knees anyways.....

Of course I have a copy. It's one of the two cookbooks I use during June, July and August, the other being the Ball Canning Book.

Now were did I get it? I don't remember :barnie It was one of the impulse buys, you know, where something ends up in your hands somehow.

I was nervous the first time. The second time was easy. One lick with the hatchet and I was done.
