I'm about to go to a job interview. I've had so much going on I forgot to mention it :hu It's a part time position that just opened up at the Dollar store, but it's a job I can work around and still get stuff done here at home. I hope they don't hold it against me that I won't work on Sunday :/ That was the reason I didn't get hired with them before at another store....but they're more desperate this time  They had to fire someone, and had another walk out this week, so I have my application ready and am going to meet with the Manager today. They all know me pretty well up there, so maybe I can go to work. Employee discount will definately lower my monthly bills considering how much I spend up there too  Praying God's will...if He wants me to have it, good, if not, I'm okay with that too. I just figured I'd give it a whirl ;) A little extra $$$ would be nice!

Wannabefree-build one!!!! Mine is about 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide. That was the size I could make with the plywood I had. You can look online for homemade incubators for sale to get ideas on how you want it set up. My next one is going to have a hatching drawer and a better place to keep the water and use lights instead of an element.
This is a good place to look for ideas.

I'm terrified of electricity! I'd zap myself into oblivion :p It just makes me nervous. I have thought of building one, said I was gonna, even had a few materials, but never have done it :hide

I'm scared of electricity too, but the good thing is that, if it's not plugged up, wiring it your not dealing with electricity. Your dealing with wires. There's only 2 places to wire on the thermostat and you can just add a regular fan from the dollar store. One of the little ones they sell. Just be sure your not touching anything that could shock when you plug it up and your good. It truly isn't hard or scary once you do it.

rebecca, I may give it a go soon. I really want a bigger bator!

Thanks Snappy! :hugs

I turned in my app. expecting the interview because that's what the girl told me yesterday. Didn't get it because the manager was out. However, the NEW assistant manager is my buddy up there :D She's gonna put in a good word for me with the Manager, who is also a pretty nice acquaintance...wouldn't so much say friend or buddy, but we get along nicely. So...I'm hoping :fl If it's meant to be, it'll be :)

 thanks Pinky :hugs I'd love to have a part timer to be able to do and keep up with everything here. To be honest though, it makes not much difference to me whther I get it or not, so long as it's the way it is supposed to be. I do have a lot going on here at the house, and don't want it if it will interfere or complicate matters. I'm hoping for 10-20 hours a week though of stable cash flow. Sometimes things here are hit or miss. One day I make a chunk, next week nothing...so definately would be good to throw in a stabilizing effect ;) I just hope it's the right thing!
