I need to resend eggs to you Buffy. Both can be solid white, male and female, and the coloring can come out later. I have had a few like that, and the hens sometimes never get much tail black. I have some with excellent tail black, and others with spotty tail black. It just depends. Buuuuuuuut, I hatched a strange chick out of my Del's though. It's male parent has to be the old roo....TEN weeks later :barnie I do NOT understand how it could have happened, but seriously...I have a VERY barred chickie out of the hatch :/ The old roo was barred rock and something cross. I KNOW my Del roo is pure. I am just so frustrated now :p Either that old roo has some very strong lil swimmers or I have a suspect hen, which I do not think I do. But, there is always the possibility....but they all look pure Del...Grrrrrrrrrrr! I hate chickens :rant

Anyway, when I get it figured out for SURE and fixed for SURE...I need to resend you some eggs to hatch. I don't feel right not replacing them for FREE, so you just have to get over that :p I'll keep you updated. I have 3 more small settings of Del eggs, and will watch which chick comes from which eggs to make sure it's not a suspect hen. Then I'll let you know.

The eggs in the LG had a small number that didn't hatch. The Hovabator, had horrible ratios. I got maybe 10/42 Humidity was good and temp was good. 3 Doms, 2 Dels, 5 Buffs. Overall though my Buff eggs I collected didn't hatch well 9/24. The BSLs did well. 15/17.

we'll know tomorrow if he was tasty or not :p Twenty seven chicks is good. Currently I have 47. I'm selling all of them though. I got most of them this morning. I went and picked up 44 ducklings and 94 chicks, and that is what I have left from the flea market.
