Whew! Poppers are done :woot I'm not making any more for a good long while! We had them for lunch, they're addictive :)

Kid 3 is about to go home here shortly. Kid 2 is acting jealous over everything lately. Jealous of DD and niecey 2 and acting out. I think we need some girl time together, so other niecey is going home for the night and will be back Monday. Now she is crying, but she's my crybaby anyway, she has always been overly sensitive, so I know that is just typical for her. Niecey 1 is just acting strange...I need to find out what's bothering her and see if we can fix it, or at least help the issue. Her parents aren't in the picture, and she told me the other day she wished she could live here, so there is no telling between those two major things, what is bothering the kid. So I think we'll hook up the game system, pop some popcorn, and have a Playstation showdown and talk :D Or we may go for a drive...whichever. Short drive though, because gas is outrageous these days :/ Maybe we can get it straightened out by the time Monday morning rolls around since they are going together to a sewing class, and I want them to have a good time. Guess we'll see.

Hmmm now what to do until the one goes home? It has been so long since I had some just for me time with nothing to do I don't know what to do :hu

Yeah mind reading would be a blessing in some instances, but a curse in others! I just wish the world was a better place. No kids without parents, no drugs to take parents away....*sigh* It's always the kids that suffer :/ She usually will talk to me though, if there are no distractions. Maybe I can help. :)

niecey and I spent some time together playing. Nothing special, she didn't seem to be upset about anything either. Maybe she was just having an off day today. Sometimes she doesn't sleep well when the other niece is here. They share a full size bed in the spare bedroom, and she doesn't sleep in when they are both here. I hope that's all it was :) we'll see how tomorrow goes ;)

Since this place is so dead...I'm off to bed. I hope everyone had a good day and has another good one tomorrow!!! :D G'nite :frow

Hope you have a relaxing day tomorrow! We pressure washed the house yesterday and painted on the outside today. Gotta go to the dairy to get some rest!

I won't  I already have plans for more jams and jellies in the morning. We are having a sewing class for the little ladies(nieces) around lunchtime, and I need to finish up some work in the garden and haul a load of steel in the afternoon. I also need to make bread, ranch, and mayonnaise tomorrow. Then me and the neighbor are going to put our heads together for a sweet 16 Hawaiian theme party for her niece in less than 3 weeks which will be completely catered by yours truly. So, it's back to the neverending grind for me. I wouldn't have it any other way though ;) I need to work more on cleaning up and organizing the yard too before the crowd descends on my place the 8th because I was notified tonight the bonfire for the party is set in stone, and it happens in my backyard :D I have no ideas how many teenage girls will be involved, but I know it'll be quite a few and all will be drooling over s'mores. I love planning parties :weee :weee Hawaiian theme is gonna be fun too :D :D :D It'll also give me ideas for DD's sweet 16 by the reactions of the girls to how this one goes and let me know appropriate length of time to keep them entertained etc. etc. Oh yes, I will be paying attention. ;)

Anyway, I got the game set up for little niecey tonight. She's loving it. DD offered her TV to be used since she isn't using it, and it wouldn't hook to the other one. Her and DD are in there playing together. Funny how video games closes the age gap  She has curled their hair today, and they've actually gotten along quite well. :) It has been nice!

Hopefully tomorrow will go smoothly, because I sure have enough crammed into it :p

No sewing.
No jams and jellies.
Instead, I hauled 2000 pounds of potatoes.
I pulled a muscle in my back helping an elderly gentleman get his taters into his garage  Who's feeling old now, huh? :p
I did manage the mayonnaise and ranch dressing.
I still have 450 pounds of taters to do something with because I had to come home and IcyHot my back. AND I put it on when I was sweaty....NEVER DO THAT! It BURNS REALLY REEEAALLLY REEEALLLLLLLYYYYYY BADLY!!! Seriously like a bad burn, not good at all!

Nevertheless, I hope everyone else has had a beautiful blessed lovely Monday :D

I think I'm almost done for the day. I have folks coming by the house to pick up some taters, and then I am sitting it out the rest of the day in hopes my back forgives my stupidity ;) With my old injuries I knew not to bend like that...what was I thinking!?!?!?!

Well I just now got finished. :hu I only have 200 pounds of potatoes left. 50 goes to a neighbor a couple miles down, 50 I'm holding for another friend, and 50 goes to a neighbors sister, and 50 more...that doesn't have a haome yet, and it looks as if their "home" will be in my canner later on this week because I REFUSE to just let them go bad. I have just ran out of places to give/sell taters. :/

We've still got tater salad in the fridge  Oh well. Next load better not have taters is all I can say :p

I'm tired. My back is somewhat better, and maybe I can get out and work in the garden tomorrow, after I do the canning I wanted to do today. I found more blackberries in the freezer from last year that are begging to be made into jam...actually maybe that was DH begging since he is on his last jar, but either way I can make room in there for something else if I make it tomorrow. I also have a gallon of grape juice I plan on making into jelly. I still have strawberries as well. I guess tomorrow will be busy too. HOPEFULLY I will NOT get another call to come get the rest of those potatoes. He still had several hundred pounds left over :fl

I'm going to bed. Maybe I won't wake up stiff. I've tried to walk a bit this afternoon and still loaded a few potatoes CAREFULLY, so I am hoping that kept it from getting to where it'll be stiff tomorrow.

Good night folks :frow

Buenos dias!! I slept late this morning. The kids are still in the bed and it's quiet around here AHHHHHHHHHHH! I'll get them up in an hour or so if they don't get themselves up before then. The old back is not stiff, but I sure know it's still injured. I tossed all night to get comfortable, thus the late sleeping. I still have a ton of things to do around here, but I'll have to be careful doing it, which means I'll be going at a snails pace :p Maybe I can get some jam done this morning after I feed the hoodlums and the other animals ;)

One of the friends who stopped by yesterday has a few "connections" and may be able to help me land a hospital security job at a hospital an hour away. The pay is good. The benefits are pretty good. I hate to think of being pulled away from everything here, but maybe I can do a little of both? It's 12 hours shifts, which would put me home roughly 3 days a week so I won't be gone ALL the time, just about 48 hours a week. I'll probably miss out on the truckloads of produce for the most part, but may still be able to help on my off days. I love that job, but, well it isn't the best pay. There are great benefits, both spiritual and tangible, but it is a volunteer gig. I've done security before. This job I'll have to have a gun and a radio...I'll be a rent-a-cop  I will have to be bonded and all that jazz in order to take it. I'll have to look into everything that entails and get it done. Background checks, if thorough, take a while, so I might should go ahead and check into that just in case, and besides it never hurts to have another qualification when job hunting. *sigh* The very idea of GOING to work, just makes me sad. Maybe that is what God wants for my life though :hu I did enjoy security when I worked the prison before. I enjoyed the job, just not the coworkers. It was pretty stressful. I won't have to deal with convicts at a hospital though for the most part. Part of me hopes to get it, because of the financial aspect, and the other part of me is pretty much indifferent. Money isn't everything, but lack of it can sure be a pain in the tuckus, so whatever will be, I'm game. Here or there will be fine with me.

Still no word on DH's supposed job. The guy has never called back to call him in to work :/ We're still at square one. We're still busting our hump to make the bills by hauling steel out of the woods for the time being. Thankfully we have good neighbors that have helped us out lately and covered a couple of our bills since we cover a bunch of stuff for them all the time too. We don't have money, but we have good friends here :) Every time they've needed us we've been there, and visa versa. Our own family would not help us out the way they have, most of them even if they could. For good neighbors, I am thankful. It'd sure be nice to get some real income coming in though. Or at least win the lottery  But then, you have to play to win so I'm not looking for that to hit for us :p

Enough rambling...I'm off to the races :D

At least if you somehow manage to yank your back doing security, you'll at least be getting paid to do it. ;). I also find it admirable that you're recycling all that metal. I know you're doing it to get some coin, but its got another benefit as well. Good luck.
