Not with my kiddo Pinky..she knows it's healthy AND good
Today's game plan is take the niecey girl home, clean house(FINALLY WOOT!!) and work a bit in the garden. I need to take a few things down to the neighbor, and the shampooer down to the other neighbor. I really don't have a whole lot to do I can make grape jelly, but dunno if I want to tackle it today, since I made a boatload of jam yesterday. Then again, if I get everything else done higher on the priority list, I might, just to get completely caught up, which hasn't happened in about 3 or 4 years now There is ALWAYS something to do around here, no matter how clean the house is. So, I'm pretty much winging it today and will do what I can, and turn my nose up at the rest of it. I do have a few errands to run. DD has been helping out so much I am not having to work quite as hard to stay even halfway caught up on things. That child is SUCH a blessing when she wants to be!!! I love my brat
Pinky, she is looking really forward to seeing Dozer again too, since she missed him last time She loves that dog! Too bad he's MINE and she can't have him
Well I guess I better go get started. First official job of the day is to corral the kid and her clothes and take her home. She demands to be home in time to be able to eat lunch with "Memaw" today, so she will be. She has been here a week, and is having Memaw withdrawals all of a sudden
Dozer slobbers were lovely! That is no longer a dog, but a small pony We all had a lovely visit with Pinky and Dozer today. Rowan is a beauty as well!
We maimed/caught/killed a snake in the coop today. Pics coming. I thought i had killed it, definately injured it, and then couldn't find it. Then DD came home, found it, caught it, screamed for us for about 10 minutes of which we were completely oblivious because we were sitting around the kitchen table talking and laughing. I thankfully missed her, and thought she had been out there too long, and sent L out to check on her. Then I went and held the snake while she got it's head unstuck, and I wound up having to kill it via shovel, and fed it to the pig. He had a well balanced "meat and potatoes" for supper tonight Anyway, at least it's gone. That's the second one in a few weeks, and this was a long one.
I got rid of most of the taters this morning, so didn't have to push too many off on Pinky this time Then i came home and took down bunk beds to move to the neighbors, let the girls take care of the transporting aspect, and reassemble there. We got the other put up, and DD is cleaning her bedroom.
Was gonna have ham for supper, but apparently it got freezer burned :/ So it's a eat what you can scrounge kind of night. I had to run to the dollar store and get DH some sodas before he DIES from lack of caffeine anyway so I told them just get whatever. I had PB&J....LOVE that jam
Anywho, that was my day. I have been drowzy all stinkin day, and am about to get a shower and hit the bed by 9ish tonight. *yawn* I hope everyone else had a good day
she was definatly a pretty snake, shame she found the eggs but once they find the coop, they always know theres an easy meal there and will keep returning. :/
we had a great afternoon and currently dozer is passed out behind the couch LOL!
Pinky, we knew Dozer would be worn out. he had WAY too much fun LOL!
SSD sorry sister, she was a big one though! She had an egg halfway down when I found her. wish she hadn't found the coop. I know we'll likely have many more out there this year since the neighbor yard is grown up so much and the coop is on that side. we need to mow too. This is the second one this year.
