never been in sams club...
but costco is "dangerous" for me, i have to go in when its REALY quiet those places are major anxiety triggers for me...
i think its a combination of EVERYTHING being so large/tall and the crowds themselves i feel tiny and squished!

yay for the incubator! :D
I started to hyperventilate a bit in there :p It is overwhelming, and the carts are HUGE....and niecey wasn't helping with the "ooooooh can i have...ahhhhh LOOK at that! and whoooooooa...Aunt Cinni, can I ride on the end of the buggy...we NEEEEED this....can I help push...can I can I can I...."

We barely had got in the truck when she started the.."I'm hungry, can I open the...."

She can go with me again when she's 30 ;)

The bator is humming so nicely :love I think i heard the eggs sigh contently when i put them in

Back down to farm business today. I have to:

help clean up the yard at the neighbors house and haul a load to the dump
pick blackberries
tie up the tomatoes a bit more
pick beans
pick squash and cukes
clean the small foam bator
make bread
call a lady about ducklings and eggs and possibly go pick them up
and lock down 4 turkey eggs due to hatch
catch up laundry
clean our yard from downed limbs from the storms yesterday, there are a few big ones
and the usual everyday stuff

IF I have time, I also want to get the greenhouse and shed straightened back up and get things put away. I need to put a few things on Craigslist too.

LOTS to do beyond that, but that's the most urgent things. Now that the garden is coming in well, I have a lot less time for everything else, but that's okay :D I love fresh goodies from the garden :weee

LOVE Sam's club! Just renewed mine last month. Got the business one this time, so I can go at any of their store hours, instead of waiting until nine or ten (forget which time it opens for regular members).
TURKEY EGGS?!?! I'm green with envy. I'm becoming half obsessed with turkeys, lol.

Betta I've hatched off about 15 or so this year :)

Normal store hours start at 10. I won't get there before then anyway :hu I already saved the membership fees  I will save a bundle in pepperoni and cheese alone, not to mention all the spices and TP and bread flour...OMGOSH bread flour is SO much cheaper! 25 lb. for $7.99 and I go through about 75 lb. a month, compared to $2.50 for 5 lb. at WalMart.....that saves me about $15 a month just in flour! I saved 4.10 each on two 2 lb. blocks of cheese, so that's another $15+ a month I'll save. I had already bought two though. We use four 2 lb. bricks a month of cheese. I estimate a savings of $100-150 a month or better off the grocery bill.

Isn't it awesome?! Butter is usually $3-$4/lb, but there, it's 4lbs for $7.88. I LOVE Sam's Club! I did the business one because it was five bucks cheaper that way. Plus, if George wants to go, he has to come with me... We never go shopping together, so even getting a trip once in a blue moon to go with him would be nice, lol.

ETA: are the turkey eggs harder to hatch than, say, chicken eggs?

Betta, they just take longer. They are pretty much the same though. There seems to be lower hatch rate though.

What've you been getting on the hatch rate for them? I see eggs at auction once in awhile, but I'm not all that tempted to take the gamble, lol.

About 50% so far. A few appear infertile, some are quitters about mid way. I'd say get some. The odds are not too bad.
