Bar-b-q'd bologna? How do you do that? Just grill a piece of bologna and put sauce on it? DH eats that stuff every day for lunch - It would be cheap filler food for grilling out (he tends to eat...a lot ). Bar-b-q'd pork chops Me likey!
Glad you had a nice time! We sat and watched cows eat (DH said "Can you believe we're doing this? Who'd a thought this would be enjoyable to us?!" ) - it was technically important. Ice Cream was having trouble bringing up her cud, so we sent some olive oil down her throat and were watching for good results It was so hot, nobody wanted to eat, but I force fed them, then we went to watch fireworks. Cost 5 bucks to get in (goes to paying for next years show), a 20 minute show, 40 minutes to get out of the place Oh well, DS was happy! Our local show (over the water, just past the trees behind our house) is Friday - so I am hoping to be able to sit in a lawn chair in my back yard and watch them for free
Yep, barbecued bologna is just grilled with sauce on it. It's really good on a bun like a pork barbecue sandwich. DH loves them.
Our local show is free too. But it's more like an hour or so show and 3 hours to get away from Pickwick lake. We got home just after 1 a.m. last time, and we parked on the bridge, NOT down inside the park. It was murder. The kids enjoyed it though. We almost got ran over several times leaving the area. LOTS of full coolers go in, empties come out :/ It's insane.
FINALLY heard from Grandmas biopsy. She does NOT have cancer. Her kidney issues stem from a bad infection. They don't know whether she'll have to have dialysis long term or not at this point, btu she is doing better. She's back to almost normal. She has gotten down to where she can't walk while being in the hospital, but otherwise she is doing better. They are talking of letting her come home Monday or Tuesday. Not sure what "home" means yet, whether it be my aunts house or a nursing home, but the doctor will decide when he gets ready to release her. My grandma is kinda big, so if she comes to my aunts house, nobody would be able to help her get up and down, so we're thinking it would probably be a nursing home. We'll see how that goes. If I know my grandma, it's gonna be a fight to get her in a nursing home. She can be downright MEAN when she wants to be, and she doesn't want to go to a nursing home.
Anyway, that is the news on her.
Tomorrow we're hitting the flea market to see if we can get rid of some chicks and ducklings. I HOPE we can, I think I have about 25 bucks to my name right now. :/ Everything is paid up through the 12th, so I have less than a week to make some money. I'd LOVE to be living paycheck to paycheck right now...that'd at least mean we had a real income It's SO hard to have faith when you're dangling over the cliff by a worn out rope :/ Sorry for my bad attitude lately, I'm just getting annoyed and tired of the situation.
I'm gonna stop posting for a while. Lately I don't have anything nice to say, so it's probably best I don't say anything. I have a rotten awful attitude right now, and can't seem to keep it from showing in my posts, and I HATE complaining, so I'm gonna just shut my pie hole. :/ I'll talk to everyone when things start looking up and my head is in the right place again.
Sorry I'm the one who has to tell you this, WBF, but you are only HUMAN! Life has it's ups (glad to hear about the no cancer finding for your Gramma. A nursing home would stink, but is SO much better than what had been expected) and downs (Bills that seem to ignore our low times and just keep coming, darned things!). Try as you might, you can't always be Superwoman! We, out here in the virtual world, understand that, and are glad to be a place you can vent to, draw strength from, and get a pat on the back when they seem to be scarce in the real world. Nobody here thinks less of you for having a down time. Whatever you decide to do, know that we love ya and are hoping things work out!
