She was dropped on her head as the firstborn, in sync with a clap of thunder, in my kitchen floor :sick and has always cowered beside me during a thunderboomer. Maybe she can smell it or sense it or something? That has to be it. She has been under foot ALL week long, even when the rain let up. Maybe it does make her feel bad. Usually during the loud thunder she is shaking like a Chihuahua at my feet. Bully breeds are big sissies  She has always been. She reminds me of Courage the Cowardly Dog :p

Poor baby my foot! I'm the one that has a 90 pound shadow!!! She is sweet, I wish she wasn't such a big furry chicken sometimes. I am enjoying the rain though! Those green beans I planted like, 3 days ago, are coming up like crazy! :woot I may not have had a good regular crop, but I'll have a good Fall/late crop I bet!!!

WBF, wish I could offer some advice but I've been very lucky in the boyfriend/girlfriend area. DS is in college and found his first girlfriend his freshman year. Too far away for me to be involved but he found out fairly quickly that some relationships can be a pain and now is being much more careful. DD is a senior in high school but except for a time when she was 3 and came home crying because someone sat next to her boyfriend at lunch she really hasn't been into the whole dating game either.

On the doggie clinginess, maybe she recognizes you are upset and frustrated right now and need some extra comfort and love and therefore doesn't want to be away from you.

Good luck with DD. remember she'll be gone sonnet that you want in the long run even if you want the strangle her right now. At least that's what I keep telling myself.

Whew...made it to church today! I didn't realize I hadn't called my pastor to update him on my Grandmother, and so that was kind of weird. he got onto me a bit for not picking up the phone :/ But really, he has MY number too if he was that curious :p This was the first day back at church in a month :hide He preached a really good sermon. I hadn't ever put much thought into whether John the baptist baptized in anyone's name or not, but he didn't, and we got an idea of why today in the sermon. It was really interesting. Anyway....

A friend called wanting chicks. He's the guy I got the hog from, well he wants me to foster one of his pregnant sows, because she is so much smaller than his other pigs, weighing in around 100 pounds now, and he doesn't really want to turn her out with the bigger ones, and doesn't want to keep her confined. What's in it for me? He just wants one piglet, the rest are mine to do with what I please. :hu Works for me!

I have to go pick corn tomorrow for the neighbor across the street, and possibly get more tomatoes, and maybe some okra to resell. I also need to go catch about 15 roosters the other neighbor has that he just wants me to take and do whatever with them. He's tired of them. i told him a week or so ago I'd take them, just have to get around to it. So, i guess I need to get that done tomorrow. Then tomorrow afternoon if I have time, i need to start setting out the Fall crop of tomatoes and cukes and such that I have started. It's gonna be a busy Monday!

This afternoon, i think I am sitting home. They are having a service on the river, with food and music tonight, but I am just SO TIRED, and I'd have to cook a big dessert for the shindig. There is supposed to be around 175 people there. We are doing this with a few other local churches, and they are providing the meal items, and we are to provide the desserts. I just don't wanna. I know i should...but *sigh* I'd rather save the fuel honestly.

Sounds like a busy week! Good score on the sow, corn, maters, okra, and roos!
