must be the effects of working in the sun the past two days and making dinner in a kitchen tonight with AC.

Just struck me as funny. :)

I'm too tired to find much of anything funny. I waited around the market for 4 hours this morning after getting up at 5:30 and making biscuits bacon and chocolate gravy. Then I unloaded the truck, and loaded more stuff back on to take to my buddy. Then I cam home around 1 unloaded the new piggy, and fixed lunch. Now we're working on a new pig pen for her. I didn't really want to put her in with Jackie afraid he'd hurt the babies, soooo..

They(DH and DD) brought the boy home with them (against my wishes):/ I wanted a quiet afternoon of rest. :hu So I've been babysitting the two lovebirds all afternoon. I have to get started on dinner here in a few. I may as well hang up my "day of rest" for this week.

see your still too nice, my mum at THAT stage would tell us, cant clean i cant cook so figure your own dinner out...

in general the pigs being sold as "mini potbellies" are under 50lbs with 30-40lbs being "ideal" for minis (normally pbs can reach 150lbs, but obviously down sizing for the pet industry has changed all that) so if shes about 40lbs heavily pregnant id definatly say you can market them as "minis" and ive seen "minis" going form anything from 100-250 per piglet, and add an extra $100 for Spots.

as a side note, PB piglets are just too stinking adorable and if i could afford one right now, id be taking one at 48 hours. lol!

Well Pinky you are welcome to one of the little nuggets if you'd like :) I just hope they survive. She was soooo hungry, and honestly, he gave her to me because he's in really no shape to properly care for all of them anymore. I don't know what she has been through the last several months that he has been so ill. There have been times he has been incapable of going out to feed, and he has had a hard time keeping them well fed. She may be slightly malnourished for all I know. She sure made short work of a watermelon. All I saw was butt and ears and the whole thing disappearing before my eyes  It was gone in a matter of a few short minutes. She is very skittish right now too, not friendly or trusting at all, which tells me at the very least he hasn't been giving them much attention lately. It could be too that she's big and pregnant, but she acts really really defensive, moreso than I'd expect even from a sow. I dunno though, I'm really inexperienced.

Forget farming, maybe open up a petting zoo with all these critters?
