Meh, I might try it, next time we have fresh cabbage. I'll put anything in my mouth at least once. I actually tried frying cucumbers. Now that was :sick :sick :sick.

Yeah lol! That sounds kind of nasty. Cucumbers would shrink to near nothing.

They don't so much shrink as they do turn into rubbery, watery, burnt mush. It's actually not too bad if you slice it paper-thin and coat it with corn grits, but you end up eating so little cucumber, it's not really worth it.

Maybe you should crank up the heat on it a bit. I fry squash too and if you don't fry it on a hotter temp it can turn into a mushy mess too.

The cabbage was 99 cents/head and the farm market. DW brought 5 home. Medium sized but heavy and solid...dinner tomorrow night!!!!

.....and 10 lbs of sweet potatoes!!!!
