Ewwwww, girlfriend - I know how snarky them teenagers can be! My DD was an angel, but it was my DS that nearly killed me before he grew up! HE was ADDH on steroids! It didn't help that his father walked out during his later teenage years... School troubles, home troubles - it never seemed to end . Looking back- I wish I had back then the patience that I have now. It's just not easy. If it's any consolation at all - it gets better... at least it did for us. It took a long time for me to find it - but there's a sweet spot in her somewhere. With my DS and I - we found a commonality that we didn't know we had. It turned out to be music. He had no idea that I grew up with classic rock and roll and I loved it - still do. We found away to bond over music. It REALLY helped when I allowed his band to practice here every week - AND - that I could outsing their lead singer, lol. (not that I'm good - he was just baaaad!) It was epic when he started regarding me as a real person instead of just an authority figure. IThat works both ways. Is there ANYTHING that she's really good at (besides being a teenager) that you can share with her? Wish I had 'the cure' but I'm not sure it exists.

So glad your DH got the job!

We share a lot of things, and she is FINE when she wants something from me. She was great all through Christmas break, and I honestly think it was only because she knew her daddy doesn't shop :p Other times, she is just a flat out overly opinionated, overly snarky little devil brat from straight out of Hades :barnie She is on one of her "I wanna be an ass" rampages. I was serious about wondering if she is unstable. She does have A.D.D. and her mother left her when she was 3, and her mother is bipolar/schizo...with documentation. I am praying she will not turn out to have those kind of issues. I think this one is gonna kill me though before I get her out of here. She's driving me nuts right now. This has been ongoing for about 2 weeks, and ma has just had E NUFF already. So, I rant. THIS is why I wanted her back on her meds, she has been off for a few weeks. We take her off when she isn't in school, but I swear she is getting worse sometimes. I'm just frustrated, and the "hate speech" really rubbed me the wrong way the other day. A monkey would know to be more apreciative than that. She needs a good old fashioned drag her by the ear out behind the wood shed whoopin :rant My mom woulda beat me senseless

Anywho....let's forget DD and ya'll give me some ideas on how to spend 2K on farm goodies

How about expanding the greenhouse? Adding in fans/misters? Thats a quick way to burn through some cash! Would be great for the business though...

I'd buy a pair of Dexters, or get a new driveway, or build a pond, or some new fences, or a windmill, or solar power, or a hunnert loads of dirt to fill in all my low spots, or one of those tiny little tractors that'll do ANYTHING, or a new milk parlor, or a MILKING MACHINE, or a smokehouse, or....

Geeze - is there anything I don't want????

I have my eyes on some Dexters, but they are a bit over budget :(
