Well, if it does erupt and causes a cooling, or a warming period.....the eruption will be blamed on man.....because men are so evil and responsible for every natural disaster....;)

good gravy don't no one turn this into a global warming debate thread---unless it is a spoof on global warming.. :p

it is a :tongue :somad I hate snow thread...LOL

Just got back a minute ago, gotta hit the road again in a few.....

tons of snow, giant sleet and like hail balls, then tons of rain, some snow again, LOL----it doesn't know what it wants to do but problem being slick roads in the morning for that hr. drive to charlotte...and all the customers who don't want to leave their house in the morning..LOL--don't blame them.

so waiting to see what NC wants to do.

In Ashville my brother has 5 inches right now. About 2 hr. drive into the mt. range from me. It can stay there !!!

So waiting to see the slop we do end up with.

Yes, let's keep the topic on SNOW!! Sometimes we up north forget that we have snow removal and salting services that make our roads passable. LAST year, Champaign County got cheap with their salt and they didn't order the plows out to salt the roads. The result? Numerous injuries and one (totally unneccessary) death. :rant

Um . . . I'm not here to cause problems, but I do believe it is called global climate change, not global warming, per se. And yeah, when the ice caps melt, that is supposed to change the ocean currents, resulting in some northern latitudes in the northern hemisphere actually possibly becoming COLDER in the winter . . . and most likely just more chaotic weather overall.

Who cares if it is man-made or natural? I don't think you can stop either cause. It is the effects we should be more worried about -- especially prolonged and more extensive droughts. JMO

Sorry, FarmerChick, for that. I do hope that your snow is well-behaved and does not cause you any headaches. :)

So the snow isn't related to climate?

yes, it is, dear, but FC does not want her thread to become a forum in which to discuss whose fault it is.

OK, the other thing I want to say . . . small oddities in your weather are not proof for or against climate change. You have to look at the bigger picture over a long period of time. So, the whole argument is kind of a waste of time, because we won't know for sure until we look back over a longer time frame.

I believe I outlined why it is not techically called global warming anymore.

I believe world climate is a complex system. Know anything about those? Does "feedback loop" ring a bell?
