As for your son, he sounds like a keeper!
Well he SURE isn't going back the way he came!

I checked the Popsicles. The ones lower in the freezer were frozen and the ones up near the door were not. Weird huh?? I think I will weight down the door. Maybe create a better seal. Not sure what the problem is.

Thanks. gina

I'm green! My husband has been too busy farming to hunt. We usually go through 3-4 deer per year, and we have nothing so far. I really hope he can get out this year! He loves venison sausage and ring bologna, and I love the breakfast sausage patties for a quick and protein breakfast on a whole-wheat bagel on school mornings.

Today I am freezing popcorn. Still working on handpicking, drying and getting it off the cob with our little twistie tool. So far we have about 12 quarts in the freezer. We have a LOT more to take care. Makes great gifts.

How do you guys go about dealing with whey? I would like to use it for soaking my beans, and I had a lot left over after making mozzarella. But I had to run to class, so I just dumped it in a big tupperware I had on hand and threw it in the freezer. Now I have a gigantic brick of whey. I know I should have expected that, but I at least figured I could chip pieces off... no such luck! How do you do it? I only have a chest freezer (mini-fridge otherwise, no freezer in it) and so I can't lay ice cube trays flat or anything like that for them to freeze....

Please save me with ideas! :)

Do you just add it to the water? (Sorry if that's a dumb question!)
