Basicly 4 months left to grow before they go dormant. We did get pretty dry but rains came and we're good now. A couple are starting to work on top wire arms already which is nice. recommended cane pruning for fruit is during the dormant period. Typically between December and March. We usually get a cold snap mid February. So I'll probably prune after that passes.

The row could use weeding of timothy and fescue and more hay mulch. It's in full sun, sun up to almost sun down. And it's dang blastded hot out there. So weeding and mulch can wait for a while.

FB's roses I had to replace this spring are growing like crazy. I lost 4 of them over winter. I will need to prune back after they go dormant and protect them over winter this year. But +1 for a raised bed of cow manure and lime to adjust the PH, weed fabric and wood chips 👍

Ok friends, you all know that I was so looking forward for my sweet corn. Checked today and saw the silk brown and said, gotta get a deep bowl to collect and cook me some corn.
Well, wrong. They are all bad.

When I opened one up it was full of small ants. Those tiny spots are the ants moving around.

Wonder if I can wash the ants off, lol 😆 🤔
I really love that kind of corn. Bought some sweet corn and the kernel where so small compared to the one I grew last year.
What can I put in the ground to get those destroyers away from my garden?

Looks like you got yourself a raccoon. Be careful, his name might be rocky.
