Wannabefree - please tell us how you sell your flowers. Cut, potted plants, sprouts? Where do you sell them? Thanks.
Oh, I just sold some overgrown azaleas that I am sick of. I listed on Craigslist a "you come dig em" add, and they did I also listed some bulbs because mine need thinned. If I have half a brain and can remember I'll start seeds next year and sell started plants as well the same way. They got a deal for those bushes!Boogity said:Wannabefree - please tell us how you sell your flowers. Cut, potted plants, sprouts? Where do you sell them? Thanks.
You can save a lot on razors if hubby has a beard, and wifey doesn't feel the need to shave during the winter. DH only uses a razor to keep the edges trimmed. And I, being fair haired, and married to a European, don't worry about legs all winter, and underarms only when they start to bother me; DH doesn't notice. Goes against the cultural grain, doesn't it? And yet, with a reasonable amount of personal hygiene, its only "icky" if you think it isWannabefree said:I sold some flowers and used $15 worth of coupons on about $24 dollars worth of stuff and wound up getting said stuff for $9 I also stocked up on razors in the process so will not have to buy any for 6 months or so.
I can't go that far...Id be out scraping it off with a sharp piece of flint if I had to!!! Especially the underarms! Hubby not shaving, doesn't really bother me, but ME not shaving....I'd rather not trim my toenails for a year or brush my hair than go without shaving.ORChick said:You can save a lot on razors if hubby has a beard, and wifey doesn't feel the need to shave during the winter. That sounds like a great find; what's it called? I love old cookbooks, and I love second hand bookstores, so it would be nice to have a name to add to the list of books I keep an eye out for. Thanksfreemotion said:Got two cookbooks at Savers. A wonderful, thick, packed with good stuff 1948 book with lots of recipes that aren't afraid of fat. It also has plans for root cellars and clamps, and several dehydrators, including one to hang over your stove, one to modify your cold frame, a solar one, etc! A bazillion ice cream recipes with raw milk, cream, and eggs. Not a stick of margarine in sight.
The other is a silly one, something about white trash cooking. It's a hoot.
Culinary Arts Institute Encyclopedic Cookbook by Ruth Berolzheimer It is copyrighted 1948 but contains material from booklets published as far back as 1940. I love it!ORChick said:That sounds like a great find; what's it called?
