Oh, and to Google online coupon codes

just go to the search engine and type in the name of the store/site and online coupon code i.e. joann online coupon code (he he - did this one last week and saved $17.00 shipping)

you'll probably end up with a bunch of choices and you might have to enter a few promotional codes to make sure it's going to work, but the extra 5-10 minutes this takes, always saves me at least $5. Usually, I end up with like 15% off entire order, free shipping, or even better.

Some stores just don't have any coupon codes.

Oh, here's another way I saved money. Lands End had 30% off and free shipping if order above $50. Oldest daughter NEEDED more clothes (she grew again) and we love Lands End. I got everything from the clearance section plus the discount and free shipping for $55. If I had gotten it regular price and plus shipping, it would have be $275!!!!! I got her 3 pairs of khakis, 3 pairs of adjustable waist jeans, 2 jersey dresses, 3 pairs of tights, 2 polo shirts, and a pair of shoes!!!!! :woot

Great job on that Lands End order! DD used to love that place when she was a teen.
I started googling for coupons also. I forgot to use them in the store though  I figure, I'll keep trying. Gave DD a bunch of coupons for babystuff, that she uses. They were all coupons for 1-5$ off. She tends to forget them also, but her hubby doesn't. We are both trying to do better with the coupons. DD's SIL is one of those super couponers. We often benefit from her extreme shopping, because she'll buy something and get money back, but she has no use for the item and will give it to us.
We don't have any stores that do double coupons anymore either. I used to be really good with that also. I also only use coupons to buy stuff I need anyway. I don't care for stuff with lots of additives, but if I can get a coupon for salt, I'll use it.

I saved money buy closing my chiecking account. Someone (a credit card company, I haven't figured out which one yet) has been taking money out of my account. I thought I had put a stop to all automatic payments. Someone is either not honoring my request or I missed one. Since I have no income at the moment, other than a bit of babysitting money, which just pays my share of utilities, I really needed to hang onto all of the money I had in my bank account. Now I don't have enough money to pay my car insurance :barnie I am going to have to get verrrry creative to come up with my insurance money.

on the topic of shopping.

i started my christmas shopping REALLY early

woot had the cyclaws rc cars for a whopping 35.00 with 5.00 shipping but if you buy 3 the shipping is still 5.00 total so i bought 3, 2 for my boys and 1 for my husbands boy

they wanted these things so bad

these things are easily 60.00 on a GOOD sale thats not including the gas money to get to the store or shipping froma different site

so what would have easily cost me about 200.00 i got for 110.00

between woot, nomorerack, 1 saleday, and tanga a 1/3 of my christmas shopping is complete

i cant wait till closer to christmas for the super deals

We walked past the adorable baby chicks at the feed store today (well, we actually peeked at them a LITTLE) and bought, instead, an incubator! We have plenty of fertilized eggs here at home.

And old hen is on the menu this month.

I carpooled with some good friends to Little Rock (over an hour each way) and we ran all our errands together. We went to an Asian grocery store there that I really like for selection and prices. Got lots of goodies that I couldn't find locally + they had the huge sizes on Srirachi sauce, and curry :drool and dried mushrooms, and . . . I spent near $ 40.00 and probably saved about 20.00. This is on stuff I used to eat regularly and have been really missing. :weee

I actually spent a whole bunch of money, but saved about $50 and a lot of sanity. I bought an electric shock dog training collar. FINALLY I can teach my dog that poop does NOT = food!

:ep Yeah, found a whole box of homemade canned tomato soup. That's what happens when your husband "helps" you put them away last fall, and shoves them under the spare bed. Yippee, so finding food means the beginnings to at least 6 more meals!!!!!!!!

I am giving away my rabbits. 3 are given away, she will pick them up in 10 - 14 days. She might take a 4th.

That leaves me with 2 males that I might "off" because they are really low quality and in poor body condition. I put them up on CL for free... see what happens.

Save me money and stress for a while. Can't handle it now! I'm saving cages for someday living outside of the city.

Wierd thing is I'm not sad about it. It's just time to let go.
