I want more grapes too - I have one Thompson seedless. Would like one more plus a couple Concords. They are supposed to do really well here, but my track record with grapes is pretty grim 
I would also really like to get an orchard established. DH used to mow for an older couple, as a favor. He got paid in pears- he'd swing by the pear tree every so often and pick one to munch on while he worked
I have always had fruit trees, if not IN my yard, then close by and available. I will be very impatient for my new ones to start producing!
As for the extra mouths, just keep telling yourself "I'm so lucky I get to spend all this time with them. Sooooooo lucky
