Once again, just realize how special a relationship like that is. And rare these days. :/ Autie or not. Neither of my parents were even capable of that kind of a relationship with me. My mom was totally self absorbed and my dad was/is really just not too interested in me or my family at all.
I did have Grandma Nettie however. That fat happy little woman gave me tons of love and care when she was around.
Then I found my hubby and I am living happily ever after.
A daddy that understands you (no matter how weird we get), celebrates the things that makes you happy and loves you so unconditionally is a great blessing.

He's had his moments of cluelessness and I've had mine of, well, being a damned teenager lol. So it's really comforting to know that we made it back to each other!
