So I went out to reboot my modem because work died and in the litter box was a huge bright green leaf.

A huge fat many legged leaf, once I looked closer.

look.jpg

Only the leaf part was more triangular.

Anyway, apparently Pudding played with it til it broke and then tossed it in the litter box. So I scooped it out and it twitched a lot and I went to the deck to see if anyone wanted to eat it. Sure enough, there was a squirrel in the parking lot.

I have a very good aim. It was within 1" of the evil genius rodent. It nommed muchly. It practically caught the mantis in the air.

Heck, I didn't even know we HAD mantises in CO.

So that was awesome. Pudding was awesome. The squirrel was awesome. My crazy good aim was awesome. Now I can go back to work and tell everyone how cute squirrels are when biting off the head of a leaf mantis :D

I've hit the screaming and throwing things stage of sewing. I'm sure that means it is going well.

My problem areas (for sewing. Really it's a plus on sexiness) is the very tiny underbust, the tiny waist, and long torso, and the long bust to shoulder.

Those are the places patterns never fit. Oh, and the massive slope from waist to hips. And the rise. Those hips apparently mean I should have a huge butt. And the bust measurement means my underbust should be bigger. *sighs*

But that's all.

Oh. And my shoulders are really narrow front to back, but wide side to side (rather matches the hips). So things don't fit in shoulders. Or the shoulder blades.

Also, my neck is really small, so things don't lie quite right.

But that's all.

*beams*

eta: so far so good on all the fixes. *laughing* This is, luckily, a criss cross bust thing. So I just sewed it biggest, and pulled stuff this way and that til it seems to fit. Leaving the sleeves and armsice as is to see what happens. :/

eta 2: WOOT! The sleeves did fix the funny part in the side :D I have a working pattern! I cut out the pretty dragon flies tomorrow!! I don't like to line much, but I do like a double fabric at the tummy to flatten it. Heh. Auntie will throw things at my head now... But it really DOES lie better with all those hips curves if it is sturdier.

I lied. It still fits like crap.

I hate sewing. :he

I guess I will just fold up the dragonfly fabric and put it away until I learn how to sew. *laughs*

It doesn't fit right ANYWHERE and I don't know why. Well, other than I am stupidly shaped to sew for. I think i have to take in the back neck hole. And something at the tits just ain't right. I cannot tell if I need to slant the shoulders more or if the part into the underbust needs to slant more. I think under is easier to adjust than the shoulders since I also have the sleeves to put in.

I think the waist is wrong in the back, but I cannot see it. I guess I better wait for auntie to show up and tell me how stupid I look. :gig

Okay, here is a real question, not just pouting:

The zipper goes in the back. For fitting, I have the back closed and the side open. Because I can reach my side. LOL! Is that what is making this all messed up? I'm going to put it in the right place for when auntie fits me, with a zipper pinned in.
