I would need someone good to instruct us, I have no sense of beat.
Heh. That part is definitely helpful. I have a very strong sense of rhythm. It's the Japanese in me :)

Abi! You know that sleeve problem? Remember that you lose about 1/2 an inch when you sew in the sleeve. That could account for the tightness.
I would think that would be accounted for in the pattern, but maybe I need the next size higher's armhole and sleeves, even though the smaller size elsewhere? I'll puzzle that one out :D

Soon, I will be living with Imooto and we shall make dress maker dummies and that will help IMMENSELY.

Enough Internet for you, go get crackin' on those chores!!!! :D

Have great evening!
Thai dipping sauce is done!

More peach jam is done!

I still have the pepper jelly to do and the chicken marsala (not to can, for food next week lol). Those can happen tomorrow.

And the berries are frozen so if I get to it tomorrow, awesome, if not, we'll live. I was thinking of doing the mixed berries more as a pie mix than a jam though. I saw a recipe. Then I could pour it over trifle :D

Thai dipping sauce sounds yummy.....
It certainly does....I see I have at least 6 1/2 pint jars sitting on the shelf unused, I wonder if I can find 3 or more empty ones around here. I will have the hot water bath canner going later this afternoon, so maybe I can slip those in this afternoon.

I may need to make chicken wings next weekend. :drool

*nod nod* I do a lot of thai lettuce wraps and make dipping sauces, but this one wins :)

I also have a phenomenal peanut sauce that goes on them.

Basically, I cook up meat with some lime and shoyu. I grab fermented carrot-daikon and add chili-garlic paste to it. I grab something noodle-esque and I think the kelp noodles are the win at this point. Chop some mint and peanuts. And set all of this out on a table with lettuce leaves (or anything else big green leafy that eats well uncooked). Grab lettuce, put bits of all the stuff on it. Glop on some peanut sauce. Dip in the dipping sauce. NOM!

:D

I hate cooking. It is like a chore or a job. I enjoy eating....:hide

*looks down at growing pot-belly from sitting at the computer and eating too much lately*

I was at my most thin about a year ago when I was doing all that dog-walking, and I've totally gone back the other way now with being off work one year, and I'm at my most fat. I'm obviously keeping things down better.

We really enjoy Thai food. In Los Angeles, we had a very dear friend who was Thai and had a restaurant. We went into his restaurant, and he would keep bringing us food to try, until our tummies were round as barrels. So we got to sample a lot of different Thai food. I love the dipping sauces in particular. I enjoy peanuts and cilantro and asian food and spicy food so Thai is a good mix of all the stuff I like. My hubby actually has tried making some Thai dishes and makes a good panang sauce. But it sounds like you are putting a lot more finesse in your Thai dishes. We usually just smother something with panang sauce and serve it over rice.

Abi, I wish I could send my kids to live with you for a month, with the kids having the understanding that they had to eat only what you provide at meal time.

On the last vacation we took together, I went so far to offer the daughters *money* if they would eat something other than chicken strips/fingers and fries for meals. A salad, soup, a burger, a taco, anything!@!@! They wouldn't do it.... :he

The heck with everything else still needing to be done, I'm going to go make that garlic dip right now!!!!! :p
