Of course, while the cat nip will keep away the bugs, you just have to watch out for the cats. :hide

Well here is my bi monthly update! We get (Tuesday) election day off so in the morning Im gonna call the internet people to come and check the internet. Hopefully I can return this week! Ive missed being here!
Anyhow I loved prom. I didnt like after prom but to my suprise the prom dinner was actually good. I was shocked.
This week we have gotten some gardening done! IM so glad! Last Friday we planted 50 pounds of potatoes. Then Saturday a sweet corn patch and plowed a new patch above the garden. Then Monday or Tuesday we planted my chicken corn. Also tuesday I put a wheel barrel full of each: chickenpoop, rabbit poop, rotted leaves, ashes, and potting soil. Then plowed that into the nw patch that soild is really dark now!
Then this Monday is our Kings Island trip to Ohio (hey Jamie!) then tuesday we are off Im staying home with Granny while the Aunt, Mom and sister go shopping. Me and granny are gonna plant some tomato plant Mom bought (we got 20 rutgers for canning, 4 german red, 6 cherokee purple because I love em) plus the ones we sowed in the float bed (probably around 50 or 60 in there). Then Im gonna clean the big coop out (the broody duck is in). Her ducklings are due Wednesday then eggs we sat in an incubator at school are due tuesday. Wednesday is the FFA banquet as well, Im excited. Then thursday the Australorps are being moved to the little coop (after I move the adults and clean it). Then I will put our newly hatched Buffs, BSLs in there. I probably wont keep any because I dont want no more than 20 chickens but its lookin like 25 with what I already have hatched. I may a kee another buff or two if the baby buffs dont quit staying outside at night. I aint lost one yet but its just a matter of time.

I think that just about covers it!

Wow, you weren't kidding about being busy!!!

Enjoy the King's Island trip! I personally think Cedar Point in Sandusky is better (something about being on top of a coaster looking out over Lake Erie) :D Ohio welcomes you!!!!

Yeah I like cedar pint pretty good too. Im anxious with the duck eggs! I aint let the others set. Im taking there eggs when I find. We get 8 eggs in the actual house and sometimes I get out here two hidden nests. I need to throw em out and collet from em everyday.

Crazy birds... :p For the past week, the hens have only been giving me 6 eggs, really cutting into the eggs sales. Last night, I got 15. :he

The chicks are growing fine here. The meatie coop picture is in my journal.

We're chowing down on asparagus, that's really about I have going on in garden still.

Any progress on the flower garden?

I'm going to try to get out and get my seed 'taters this morning. Hopefully, I can dodge the rain enough to get them in the ground. My seedling are more than ready to be put in the ground.

I have to take the son over to a DAR flag folding event about an hour away. Not quite sure what his unit is going to do there, but the unit commander wants him to step up in more leadership roles this summer.
