    This is why we get along so well... I've been taking vacation days here and there to do stuff like today (getting the meaties processed, picking up new peeps, working in the garden, etc), and my buddies at work can't understand why I would take a day off of work to go WORK AT HOME.

Hey everybody! Im in the computer room of the hotel right now. We got here at 6 last night. The truck broke down at 730 yestersday morning in virginia :( so that delayed us two hours. However we got to beach some last night and have been out there all morning. Everything is fine. Ive put plenty of sunscreen on.
On another note I am already to go home. :/ I havent been around the animals in forever. When I got home friday from camp the garden did loo good. All the tomatoes we sat out were alive and the corns are getting big. The sunflowers got planted. The beans are up good but the potatoes look like crap still. We tried a cayenne-dishsoap mix on them it didnt even seem to bother them so gran used sevin dust. Any ideas on organic pest control? We have no luck with potato bugs.
From my Big Book of Gardening Skills:
- Sprinkle plants with water, then dust with wheat bran. They eat the wheat bran, swell up and burst.
- teas made from boiled basil
- dissolve 2 TBS epsom salts in 1 gallon of water and spray well.
they list a number of plants you could plant in with the taters, but I think its too late for that.
