I remember the first time we went to the beach and the youngest was about 2. When her grandpa told her that fish go potty in the ocean, she wouldn't go near the water for two days!!!!

Seriously, I agree with you, the beach always has a funky smell to me, but I understand that this smell was one way exploring sailors knew they were near land.

Now if I had my wish, I'd live someplace where I had both the mountains and the beach. But, it would have to be someplace where the water was not too cold, the winters too long, nor would I want it to be tropical, or semi tropical. I'd still want my 4 seasons.

It's nice to get away for a while but it is REALLY nice to get home And you will be refreshed and ready to start those new projects you've been thinking up!

I love my four seasons too...LOVE the first big snowfall, winter storms, the bigger the better. Love my thunderstorms, love the lazy dog days of summer, but most of all i think i like spring best...when the bids start singing, and energy fills the air...
