I second that. Get 2 or 3 of everything you like and then you can try out many breeds. I have done that and found some I thought would be my favorites I don't like that much and some surprised me with how much I liked them.

I also have that book! Storey's Guide to Poultry Breeds. Must be popular.

I may try and make room for Dellie hens. I think the roos would be good meaties. Thats my meatie pick by the way.

The chooks are out today. Thankfully! They have been in their house shivering this week. But luckily they are doing better now!

LOL your chicken is very lucky! Mine have pretty much learned not to go over the fence where the dogs are, but 2 hens EVERY morning are in the meatie run ... think they are volunteering??? hmmmm

WW- Yes its that yellow spotted on white.
AL- They very well could be volunteering!! Im suprised he didnt have chicken for supper.
