:ya for you. What great finds. Now I am kicking myself for driving by 3 big garage sales and not stopping because I was just to tired.
Auctions around here are always for expensive antiques. I no longer waste my time going to any. You did good girl.

WOW!!!! What good deals!!!!

I went today, with a friend, to a warehouse sale for school-books and purchased almost $400.00 worth of school books for, get this, $25.00.

I got .....
36 large school books
8 to 10 small school books
50 sheets of stickers (about 20 stickers on each sheet)
55 bookmarks
20 writing tablets
2 teacher planners
4 packs computer paper
1 card game (teaches about animals)
2 boxes of flash cards

I was happy to get this deal. The grades range from 4th to 10th on the school books.

:bow All Hail Bee, queen of the auction!!! You did very well, I always end up with stuff I don't need and spend way too much money at auctions. I spent all day giving stuff away and cleaning out my attic. By the time I was done I had missed all the flea markets... :(

What's going on with the cow? When is she coming home???

You know what, guys? I think God blesses us when we are working towards his will and not against it. I worked against it for years wanting to do my own will and never got anywhere! :(

Homeschooling books that cheaply?? GREAT score!!! I remember how much I paid for mine and it was around the $350 mark. What a wonderful resource to have a warehouse where people take their used homeschooling books! What a great ministry! Wish we had had something like that...... :)

2Dream, I never go to auctions either and for the same reason....I never have extra money and it seems all the good stuff gets snatched up by antique dealers.

But...guess how this transpired? My neighbor from across the mountain called me this morning and told me that she knew I needed a tiller and they had one at this auction.

So, on a whim, truly, and while I was on-call~which usually means I sit right at my house and wait for any calls from patients~I went. Stopped by the office and got the cell (call)phone and, miracles of miracles, got reception at the auction. If you knew how rural we are, you would know just how much of a miracle it is to get cell reception!

I took the very last of the measly money that I had in my account and took my faith with me to the auction. You see, I had put a request for help in finding a tiller in the prayer basket at church. I also have been praying for a sign from God that I should spend a good part of my next paycheck on this cow.

Apparently, God wants me to buy a cow! I still believe he will provide a tiller. ( The so-called good buy I found on-line turned out to be a dud! ) So....still waiting on that tiller I've been praying about! I have no doubt that God will provide! :)

Butter churn = a sign that the cow is a good move! :D

Lori, I really had to control my instincts for a good bargain at this auction and I actually bid on a few other things, but managed to stop myself in time before I actually won the bids! :p

Cow is getting paid for this next Friday and will be coming home to Sweetwater on Sat. :weee :celebrate

The fella that gave me half a truckload of canning jars is also giving me a complete set of cattle racks for my truck, tomorrow at church! :ya Guess he will be getting some dairy products!

Her owner chose to let me buy her, and not the other potential buyers, because they wanted her to be close where they could still see her and see that she has a good home. Since her husband buys apples from me, he knows where Blossom will be living and he knows its good.

I bought her a lead rope, even though they said they usually just loop a piece of baling twine around her neck and lead her with it. I'm thinking of making her a bell rope, as I have an antique cow bell and it would sound good to hear her tinkling in the orchard.

SHE is going to get sooooooo spoiled here!

Aaawwww, Morel, yur gonna make me cry!!! All glory to God, you know! I think its kind of neat to watch all the pieces fall in place, though. :)

Sort of like the whole thing with CPS and your Lola.....God definitely took part in that miracle! :)

Love to watch Him work........ :love :bow
