Aaawwww, Morel, yur gonna make me cry!!! All glory to God, you know! I think its kind of neat to watch all the pieces fall in place, though. :)

Sort of like the whole thing with CPS and your Lola.....God definitely took part in that miracle! :)

Love to watch Him work........ :love :bow

Homeschooling books that cheaply?? GREAT score!!! I remember how much I paid for mine and it was around the $350 mark. What a wonderful resource to have a warehouse where people take their used homeschooling books! What a great ministry! Wish we had had something like that...... :)
No.....Beekissed----this is a company that prints the books. These books are brand new, never been used. They also have all types of manipulatives that you can purchase but that is on the first day of the sale. We went on the 3rd day, which is the last day, of the sale.

Again these books are new from the factory in Greensboro. Thats why its a good deal. :)

Acres~ even better!!!! :)

Hey, did you all know that its illegal to sell raw milk and dairy products in WV and VA?

Now, that's a real kicker!

I plan to hook up my old fridge up out in the garage and place milk and assorted products in it. I will have a sign that invites folks to help themselves to anything in the fridge. There will also be a "suggested donation" for these items~donations to go towards feed for chickens and cows.

Can they twist the "suggested donations" into being actual prices, or will the wording keep me okay? :idunno

I don't actually want to break the law here. I've been thinking, when folks approach me about purchasing my milk and such, I could tell them its free for the taking and, if they feel like contributing towards the cow's feed, that is entirely up to them!

Any other ideas? I know the whole selling cows "on shares" is not getting through the courts now.... :/

I have seen some people get around that by labeling their raw milk "not for human consumption",what they do with it once they get it home is their own business. ;)

I sell it for pet food only, but let people know we only give our own pets food that we would (and do) eat ourselves.... ;)

Oh, and they have to either supply or pay replacement cost for the jar and lid. They can bring that first, paid-for jar back in exchange for the next one, though, and not pay for the jar. I charge a dollar per quart jar, as that is what it would cost me to buy them when and if I run out of the free jars. Otherwise, people will just toss or give away or use your jars themselves! And now I have people saving quart-size jars for me to recycle, like glass mayo jars.

Yeah, free, I was thinking the same thing. I used to live near a dairy that sold their milk in glass jugs but would give a $.50 deposit for bringing them back.

I was thinking that I would advise folks to just bring back the 1/2 gal. jars for refills. I could buy plastic jugs, but then that runs into money too and I think the milk just tastes better in glass. :p

I like the ideas you all are giving me....keep 'em coming!

Hi Bee.
Great finds at the auction!

In MN it is illegal to advertise raw milk for sale, but it can be bought, but the customer must supply their own containers and it has to be sold on site, so you might want to keep that in mind, even if its plain illegal to sell, better to keep the penalty as low as possible ;)

I am currently trafficking in the illegal as well.

I actually (horrors!) buy some raw goats milk. :th :drool

My gal simply weeds out her customers and then sells by word of mouth - one trustworthy law-breaker at a time! :thumbsup
