I've been having computer connection problems. So I have had a hard time keeping up with everything.
Now bbh, why would you think that nobody wants to play with you?
I must admit I was cooking dinner earlier, and then I did sit down to eat it too. Then my connection went down twice this evening already.
That is funny about you guys from WV. Do ya'll look alike too?
It is so good that you were able to break the chain of abuse Bee and the rest of you. It is typical for those who were abused as children to either become abusers or enable an abuser. And it takes special effort on the abused person's part to break the cycle.
I didn't speak to my parents for many years. But as a family (with the support of my brother, sister and other family members), and the help of therapists we kept working at the issues. I was eventually able to forgive my parents. We talked about it alot. And we discovered that they too had been abused although they weren't really aware of it all. It expained why they behaved the way they did. Although it does not excuse them. And they have shown that they are truly sorry about what happend to us.
I can now spend time with my parents and enjoy it. I lost my innocense when I was a little girl and that cannot be replaced. But I feel good about myself now and I put a stop to the abusive cycle in my family. It was hard, but now I have a good loving family and my daughter and nephews got to have the childhood that every child is entitled to. That is a wonderfull feeling.

That's funny, so when you read my post I have a mid-western accent? People tell me I have a Bostonian accent, after I have had a glass of wine or two
I have never been to Boston. After a few more glasses of wine (me or them) they hear my german accent come out.

I do NOT have a southern accent! 
Well....maybe just a little bitty one but not like the folks in the southern part of the state.
