We did a little cleaning out last night. Well, actually the boys did. We have a burn barrell that hadn't been used in a while and the pyromaniac instinct was relit (pun intended). We burned everything we could safely burn. Although DH had to remove an empty ether can and 2 spray paint cans before they lit it up.

What is it about 18 year olds and fire anyway? :idunno

I didn't let them burn my feed bags, though. I'm going to use those in the garden next year for weed barriers. ;)

Oh, Bee, come clean out my place, please! I'd really love to dump half the stuff in my house, but I live under that mentality passed down from my grandparents that it might be useful someday. AND I often do find lots of uses for junk.:/ I just am so tired of the clutter and don't have time to clean and organize.

Well, I can finally brag! My house is pretty close to spotless, completely decluttered, junk free (almost) and actually feeling really good lately:>) The best way to declutter is put your house up for sale for a while. You don't have to sell it, but the thought of strangers going through it fairly often for a month really gets your ambition upped!

LOL--I never spring clean, fall clean or anything.

I have decluttered over the years and finally my house is open and easy to clean.

So for me, I did the hard work and now the easy work of keeping it clean is wonderful!!!!

When time comes, I take down a curtain and wash it.
I might wipe down the walls in a bathroom cause I have time.
I wash a small rug at the kitchen sink.
Wipe down the washer and dryer and might move it to clean under..LOL

I do this all in my usual cleaning cycle.

No tackle the spring or fall cleaning for me!!!!!

OM Gosh, YES!! That's why I'm leaving work early today--to clean up my tomatoes, to scrub down my kitchen and the porch. I don't know why people want to Spring clean, unless it's to keeping cleaning all the way through the summer. FALL cleaning makes MUCH more sense! :D

I started my spring cleaning a few months ago. Now I guess we will call it fall cleaning. Cause I'm still doing it. Ugggg....

I have been de cluttering and yes Morel your right. I walk around my home now thinking if I have to sell there is way to much.... Of everything. Toys, clutter, junk and stuff... I threw an old rug away this morning. Made me feel good.

I think I just need to line up all misc. stuff and try to sell some on craigs list. Then everything else will go off to goodwill.

This weekend I need to lean out my coop and add new shavings. Oh and there's the garden work. Geesh, I guess I should make a list.

I did attack the house on Tues when the kids went to school. I would like to pull out some fall decor but I have got to get things in order first!

Punkin, my boys are the same way! :p LOVE to play with fire! It's a guy thing....really. :/

My mother is currently selling all her possessions and she is finding it very fun! She was going to leave everything with the house and I had wanted her to sell it. She was convinced no one would want all that stuff and that she didn't want to have to fool with selling....until the real estate lady wanted to buy her daybed and her freezer! Now she is on a selling spree and is amazed at how everything is selling right and left! It's kind of funny, because I thought it would be hard for her to part with things she has had for nigh on 33 yrs.....but, NO. She is not a sentimental type who places value on material possessions unless they have a use. She's kind of like me!

All that metal I had piled at the curb for the trash guy was snatched up! Yes.....I got dumpster dived! How cool is that? :D And these guys were extreme DDs...they brought a pick-up, a trailer and their little boy in the middle of the night, wore coon lights on their heads and they went to TOWN on my junk!

AND....someone called about my butter churn that I had advertised in the market bulletin a couple of months ago! They are coming to buy it. I knocked the price down to sweeten the deal but I'm still making out like a bandit. I bought it for $15 and am selling it for $125. That cow really added to my coffers, didn't she? ;)

Since my mother heard about how folks went totally DD on my metal scraps she decided to advertise her farm dump that is up in the woods...she has some major metal piles up there after all these years.

My truck broke down today.... :( I don't know what is wrong with it but I'm hoping it's not too bad. I'll be praying for the poor thing! :)

Seems like one blessing leads to another in this world and anything unpleasant that happens just works out to be another way to make a blessing happen. I never used to look upon it like that, but since I see things more clearly, I can finally see that bad things that happen are not always bad.

I used to feel like the most unlucky person in the world and everyone who knew me agreed with that. Now, of course, I can see how each thing that happened led to something that was supposed to happen to turn things around for the good. Does that make sense?

Now that I can look back and see that, things like my truck breaking down don't panic me like they used to do. Now I just wait.....wait upon the blessing that I know is coming right along behind it! :D
