I'm not looking forward to this trip because it's at night....but then, even less traffic at night and all the snow plows will be out, so this could be a plus.

Don't worry, gals....been snow driving very mucho and am not so bad at it, it doesn't stress me too much and sometimes it's a little fun.....let's hope this is one of the fun times, huh? :p

Still, think of me while you are snug in your beds tonight as I let neither rain, sleet or snow impede the progress of the United States.......er....hold on....wrong speech. Well, anyway.....MUST go get my boy tonight! :love
I love the way you write. You're good at making stuff that could be a downer - Better and frequently funny. Stay safe and warm and enjoy having everybody together.

Girl, you can have mine too if you want!!!

Please be careful and do let us know WHEN you get home safely!

When I was in labor with my son I got stuck behind a snow plow in a snow storm....nothing like having contractions while cussing out the snow plow drivers!

Well, all GH buses are on hold at Knoxville, TN, so I didn't have to .....um....I mean, GET to start traveling tonight down to fetch him. :p  Poor guy is so disappointed and homesick~and now stranded at a bus station in the middle of the night. Well, he has plenty of company, I guess. :/

We have about 10 in. right now and it is pouring snow....it is very, very beautiful! At 22 degrees, it should be pretty icy even when they do get the plows going in the morning...but at least it will be daylight.

NOW I wish I had that snow shovel that I stored away somewhere in some building or other....haven't had to use it all the 4 years I've been here.

Actually found something I wanted for Christmas this year......a book at TSC called "The Backyard Beekeeper". Will probably wait until I recover from Christmas and go and buy it! :D

Y'all, I know this snow is somewhat inconvenient and will cause folks, including me, some trouble.......but I'm so excited~this will be the first white Christmas we have had for many a year. So long that I cannot remember getting snow at Christmas for ages!

Not only are we getting snow....but lots of snow....for Christmas! :D And I doubt it will all melt off before the actual day, seeing as how it's supposed to get down to single digits this week.

Glad you didn't have to be out in it. :hide
Hope you have a safe, easy drive to bring him home. Then you can have lots of snow around your place like your own private snow globe. :weee

Oh Bees place would make a perfect snowglobe.

Hope the busses start moving again, and that you have a safe trip.

You may be able to drive in the snow but that does not mean that all the other folks out there can. So watch out for that so-n-so who thinks snow/ice covered roads are just like another Sunday drive in Miami.

the reports on the news this morning were funny (well not funny but ya know..) cars all over the place, in ditches, fender benders etc.

and I-77 was stopped. Over 10 mile backup with no movement for over 3 hrs. dead stop last night. Poor people. ugh

if you don' t have to be out there...don't..

and yup--it is the other guy ya gotta watch out for :p
