Bee, sure glad to hear things are going fairly well. I've been sick and lying low. Hope you have a wonderfull christmas.
FD, I can certainly sympathize! I still have an infected tooth that has spread to my throat, lymph nodes, and other teeth. The whole left side of my face, head, and neck are in horrible pain. Already had a run of Amoxicillin but, as soon as it was finished, it came back on me.

Add to that, I also have a pretty bad bladder infection. Really can't afford to go to the Doc's right now or afford another ATB, so I'm taking Azo Standard and swilling cranberry juice.

Not real fun to be feeling bad for the holidays, huh? :( I hope you are feeling better now and have a great holiday! :hugs

Thank you all for your good wishes....pray for me? I'm goin' through a rough patch right now.

BTW, Dad is very calm and doing well at the hospital. He was very excited to get back to the people he knew and he talked their legs off. This is somewhat comforting to us.

ETA: Real rodeo at the farm today....the boys went out to feed and they scared my Bettys and Two Bites. The darn animals jumped the fence and the boys had quite a time getting them back in. I'm going to have to teach the boys how to move around these sheeples....they don't like quick movements and they don't like feeling cornered in their pen.

And maybe they just like their Mama to feed and got scared, I don't know.

Terrible about the tooth, that really is the worst type of pain IMO.

Yay though about your son & dad. That's great that it all worked out for the best. :)

I'm jealous of your white Christmas. We never get snow. Enjoy it!

Hope you're feeling better Bee.
It does stink being sick at this time of year. I usually make cookies and prepare all the gifts and make the christmas eve dinner. I got most of the gifts wrapped, but didn't get to make any cookies or create any gift baskets. I'm saving my energy to make tomorrow's dinner.
My house looks pretty nice though and I managed to go out and pick up the roast for tomorrow's dinner. It'll all just be toned down a bit.
It sounds nice at your place though; having your boys home and your mother and father safe, and having all that snow. I hope you are all snug and cozy. Have a hot toddy on me ;)

Thanks for the sympathy, gals! Sometimes a girl just needs to whine about it all, ya know? :p

I am still in excruciating pain but am floating on a Darvocet high, as the Bat pulled out some old Darvocet her sister sent her awhile back....it doesn't take away the pain but I sure care about it a lot less! Bee on narcs: :drool :drool :drool :th

The house is warm and stockings are full and hung with care, in hopes that sleep will soon be here. :fl

Visions of tomorrows festivities dance in my head, while all the other folks lie sleeping in bed.

While out in the barns there is peace everywhere, animals all nestled down in the hay, here and there.

The moon is bright and gilding the snow, the pretty lights are gracing the tree with their glow.

I in my red nightie and Bat in her blue, are wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too! :frow

Here is a little side note of happy: I had been concerned about a few of my chooks that were looking pale and tired and was thinking maybe they had worms or something. I confined all birds to the coop during this snow and added UP/ACV, freshly juiced garlic and raw honey to their water. Within two days my egg production went from 6 to 11, the eggs went from pale and medium/large to extra large and very dark brown.

I have been only getting 6-8 eggs for some time now and was thinking the weather and molting was the reason, plus the occasional few eggs to buy off the "protection"~Jake. These eggs I am getting right now are very beautiful and very large.

Maybe the chooks did have worms and this tonic cleared them out? I don't know but they will be getting a repeat dose in about 2 wks.

Then the rest of the animals are getting a drenching of the stuff and I will report any changes. The calf already had some and she went from having the squirts to having formed patties within a couple of days of dosing.

Cool, huh? :)
