Farm, I took the hide to the carwash today......and I had barely gotten it pinned up when the guy that runs the carwash had a question......or two. Walked away shaking his head....said he was a taxidermist or something. :hu

It did a great job of washing off the residue but didn't flesh much of the hide.....DID, however, splash plenty of dead cow effluvience all over my face! :sick

Anyhoo, the hide is clean and sober and hanging out on my fence to dry a little before being pickled.....er....salted down for a three day period. :D

Like I said I think my sheep hides had more fleshy bits than most do. There was quite a bit of little fat blobs that came off when washing. I guess I was lucky not to get the poo face! When I washed mine it was pretty cool outside and dark so I was trying to stay far away so I didn't get all wet. Glad it got it clean however! :)

Well, I finally got to go out and commune with my animeals....in my t-shirt~no jacket!!! :D :weee :celebrate

Anyhoo....finally got to dose my sheeples with freshly squeezed garlic juice and my UP/ACV. Chose not to give in a drench, as I didn't want to force them and they were simply not interested in my drencher nipple...no matter how much sweet stuff I put on it! :p

I put the garlic juice over BOSS, oats and a little cracked corn. They didn't really want to eat it at first but they came around and cleaned it right up. Now my sheeples have garlic breath.... :sick

Well, the garlic made them mighty thirsty, so the only water available had a cup of my freshly finished UP/ACV. Before, when I put vinegar in the water, they seemed reluctant to drink and the calf drank it all. Now, the calf is gone. :clap

They say you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.......

I say, if you salt down his feed and make him thirsty, he will HAVE to drink! More than one way to skin a cat.......

I got to do all kind of outside chores that I have been wanting to do and it feels great!!! :celebrate

The chickens are loving this thaw and finally got to come out of their house this week....after I MADE them  ~durn sissies were scared to venture out of their haven. That was the longest they have ever been penned up so far....seems like they developed Stockholm Syndrome....

Hope you are all loving this good weather like I am....I hear some snow and rain is on the way tonight, so enjoy it while you can! :D

Oh and I let my girls out to free range around,..they didn't wast no time getting out of there,...they were FREE! :weee :gig Awhile ago I seen them all on this huge boulder we have in our backyard,..they were all lined up in a row,..one flew off, then another,..then another! It was like they were playing or stretching their wings,..whatever they were doing they looked to be having fun! :love
