I noticed that, Dace.
Nothing to offer???? Are you crazy, lady? With your cooking skills? Your recipes and cooking methods could fill one whole chapter...with pics of the finished products and all the healthy ingredients! What is a book for women without good recipes?
I can't cook a lick! I am queen of the one dish wonders and I make a mean loaf of bread...but that's about it. :/
Went to get that lumber and saw it for firewood today. Hauled it all home the first trip! It won't hold us for long but it feels good to have some wood in the shed....we were down to absolutely nothing but some scraps on the floor. This lumber comes from seconds lumber at the local saw mill.
Someone had taken the bundle of lumber I bought, so I had to take an old bundle that had been sitting there since this past summer. Some Deliverance-looking guy came up to us while we were cutting it up to question our taking it.
Jon tapped me on the shoulder and said someone wanted to talk to me, so I gave the chainsaw to Jon and walked over to him. He had been mouthing at the Bat that the lumber we were sawing belonged to someone else. I told him I had paid for a bundle of lumber at this place and I was going home with a bundle of lumber. Explained that the last two I bought had been stolen from this place and I WILL be taking this lumber today!
He didn't have much to say after that....guess he didn't want to argue with a lady with a chainsaw.
I think I know why that bundle had been there for so long.....it was full of black walnut boards and I'm figuring someone was curing them out to use for finer things than firewood. Tough tacos, says I..... black walnut burns great!
Never argue with a chainsaw, redneck!
