Bee - I am so sorry you won't be able to go ahead with your plans. But like you said: Not meant to be. May be a blessing of some other type in disquise. The Lord does work in mysterious ways sometimes. All you can do now is wait and see what that blessing is. Just think - at least you still have your income tax money to use. That in itself is a blessing.

You know, there have been times I have been in a rush to get somewhere and then just on a whim stopped to do something totally foolish like a spur of the moment "I must stop at this store and see whats on sale". I hate to shop so those are very rare occasions. But then I get back on the road only to discover 2 miles down the road a terrible accident. I realize then that my stop probably saved me from being involved. I always say a thank you prayer.

Sometimes we just never realize what our blessings are.

You all are so very kind and I appreciate your words of encouragement! You know, its like a family joke.....every time income tax time comes, I have a financial disaster. The punch line is....at least you had some money to use! So, I'm quite used to this by now!

2dream, you are right.....God has his own purpose. I have a lot of questions to ask Him when I get up there, as I am gaining more curiousity as I go along!

Punkin, you are so right! My workplace folks were so kind and sweet! They didn't even wait for me to ask about taking off....my boss said to take the rest of the week off and rest up, take care of transportation solutions and give her a call later to tell her if I'm really going to be okay. She was pretty worried that I was being to cavalier about my injuries!

She was thinking about coming to my house (31 miles one way) to take me to the ER and get me checked out! I told her there is no way I'm going to risk someone coming out in this ice and snow and all the ambulances are currently being used on people who really need them.....you should have seen how many bad accidents happened today! Ambulances and fire trucks going everywhere!

Anyway, I'm trying to be calm about it and see how God unfolds things....meanwhile, the pain is setting in and by tomorrow I'll feel like a million bucks....all green and wrinkled!  :gig

Oh dear, Bee, thank goodness you were able to get home - and I completely understand how you feel about those eggs, it's the darnedest things that bother us when huge things happen! Rest up, two days later is when other things might start to ache, I hope you heal well.

Yeah, my dh is all those qualities, but he works a couple of third shifts (benefits!) so his mileage isn't that great.... :D

So thankful you weren't hurt Bee. God was watching over you for sure. This means he has a great plan ahead for you. Just take it easy a couple of days and let Him do his work.

Glad this wasn't you.

I was cruisin' in my Stingray late one night
When an XKE pulled up on the right
And rolled down the window of his shiny new Jag
And challenged me then and there to a drag
I said, "you're on, buddy, my mill's runnin' fine
Let's come off the line, now, at Sunset and Vine
But I'll go you one better if you've got the nerve
Let's race all the way
To Dead Man's Curve"

Chorus:

Dead Man's Curve, it's no place to play
Dead Man's Curve, you must keep away
Dead Man's Curve, I can hear 'em say:
"Won't come back from Dead Man's Curve"

The street was deserted late Friday night
We were buggin' each other while we sat out the light
We both popped the clutch when the light turned green
You shoulda heard the whine from my screamin' machine
I flew past LaBrea, Schwab's, and Crescent Heights
And all the Jag could see were my six taillights
He passed me at Doheny then I started to swerve
But I pulled her out and there we were
At Dead Man's Curve

Partial chorus:

Dead Man's Curve, it's no place to play
Dead Man's Curve

Dramatic interlude:

Well - the last thing I remember, Doc, I started to swerve
And then I saw the Jag slide into the curve
I know I'll never forget that horrible sight
I guess I found out for myself that everyone was right

"Won't come back from Dead Man's Curve"

So very funny, Dac!!!

If I had a Stingray I'm sure I'd have been toast!!!

FF, I'd like to think that God has a plan for me....other than being the world's fattest crash dummy! :gig I tell you, I would have like to have seen the whole thing from the outside of the car...it must have been spectacular! Like watching a wreck on Nascar, I bet! :p
