A couple of years back my bil was driving down their gravel road on his way to work one foggy cold winter morning really early and went off the road into a ditch and rolled his truck. He escaped unhurt and begin to walk home since it was not far. The neighbors took one look at the wreck and decided he was dead and thrown from the vehicle. They called the sheriff and told them this. There was a search party out looking for his dead body by the time he and my sissy drove back to the wrecked truck! Imagine everyone's relief!

So now he had a totaled truck (newer model) with a great engine. So he bought a older truck - great body with a toasted engine to fix up. But that was not God's plan at all.

Someone talked to somebody else about the fixer upper trucks... what ended up was they got in touch with a man who did metal salvage that wanted both trucks. This guy (and crew) dived into my sisters VERY TRASH FILLED fixer upper land. They stripped and scrapped THREE old mobile homes parked on the place (that sis COULD NOT find any way to get rid of) AND filled three (count 'em three!) big semi trucks full of old appliances, rusted metal, derelict old car bodies etc.....( for a long time and more etc...!). They hauled it all away in a single day (I was there. It was unbelievable!) They hauled it all away for the metal AND those two junked up trucks! She had got the land very cheap because of all that trash and had planned on YEARS of hard labor to get it gone - yet it went in a day. All of this because he rolled the truck.

God is AMAZING!

That is very cool! I love stories like that!

My youngest was all for suing MAZDA because my air bags didn't deploy! He was trying to come up with some kind of solution and said, "Let's brain storm on this...." and I said, "Well, son, that leaves YOU out...all you have is 'storm' to contribute!" :gig

I love these boys! :love

Well, its a brand new day and I feel like the world fell on me! Ouch! I'm usually a pretty tough ol' bird, but every fiber of my being hurts this morning and my head feels like a very sore balloon! Could have been much, much worse...so I'm trying to not cry out when I take a step or turn my head~because I can still do both things!!!! :p

I hope you feel much better over the next few days. I'm sorry you are sore, yet at the same time, not sorry because YOU ARE STILL HERE!!!

Hey, Aly! Good morning! I was wondering if you had kept your driver's license current? I was hoping you had, as you will need them when your man is recovering from surgery and all. Random thoughts, you know! :p

HAHAHAHAHAHA FUNNY story there, Bee, is well, we needed the money for my license to pay a small bill. The BMV told me I had 6 months to renew my license before having to take the test again. OK so, we figured I would get my license with the tax return we expect to get in February (we normally do rapid refund, I know not frugal, but it goes to keeping animals fed and bills paid until April).

So Thursday DH falls, and he can't move let alone drive...FRIDAY mom drives over and says, "C'mon, I'm taking you to get your license." :p So I got my license Friday. Mom's can be soooo wonderful!!!

On top of that, Saturday they came back over and delivered a whole truck load of firewood already split, etc. filled our woodbox and stacked it right by the back door so I wouldn't have to wander too far to the woodpile to re-fill the woodbox. :) My parents have been wonderful!!

I cooked them a spaghetti dinner as thanks, and I told mom I'd pay her back for my license. :) No freeloading allowed here!
