I'm right there with you bee! I have to sell my hubby's old broken down truck...basically for the tires and other parts, and I am selling my 1972 vw superbeetle. No one around here is buying anything. I want to pay off my credit card and that is the only way to do it right now. If you don't use it get rid of it, right?

I like the chicken tractor idea, farmfresh! That is so cool! That may be something we could do later down the road cause we were thinking of raising meat chickens. That would be an easy way to do it. Hmmmmm...something to think about.

I hope you are able to find something...have you checked craigslist?

Seriously check out new trailers.
Prices are reasonable out there and companies need to move inventory....you never know what great deal you might walk into at this time.

I have a notion to approach a guy at church....I saw his utility trailer once and coveted it! He has a truck already and he said his trailer wasn't legal with tags and all the last time I saw him...but its perfect for what I want right now....who knows? He might sell me it cheaper than a new one.

I really need one with some higher sides that I can remove when needed. The high sides for stock transport and the lower sides for wood and manure hauling.

I'll do a lot of price checking before I lay on any cash.....that green stuff comes to hard to let it go easy!

Today I hit a patch of ice under heavy snow by the river and totaled my vehicle. It slid across the road, hit an embankment, climbed the bank, flipped completely over and back onto its wheels and turned around facing the way I came. My favorite vehicle is pretty bashed up and I'm pretty bashed up~nothing broken or bleeding, though ;) ~ and I'm heartbroken today.

Second day on the job and I didn't make it there.....they filed a Worker's Comp report because I was headed to work and gave me the rest of the week off, as this was my only mode of transport to work. Doesn't look good, does it? Second day of work and already filed a Worker's Comp claim and called off the rest of the week!!! :p  :th

Sometimes I marvel at all the complete car wrecks of my life~literal and theoretic~ and I have to smile! :) THIS time, however, instead of getting all upset and crying for days, I'm letting go of the things over which I have no control and turning it all over to the One who does.

Instead of crying all day, I pulled out the best chick flick I could find, opened a carton of deep chocolate ice cream from deep in the freezer, and I am lying on the couch the rest of the day and letting the aches and pains settle in. I'm going to take a phenergan tonight and slip into a deep sleep and let God handle the tough stuff while I wait to see what happens....that is always entertainment! ;)

Now....back to P.S. I love you!

Oh Bee - so glad you are ok. What a terribly scary thing to happen.

Chocolate and a chick flick is definately the only way to overcome such a totally devestating day.

I am sure your job understands you did not do this on purpose.

And since it is turned over to a Higher Power - all will be well.

Smooches, smooches, triple smoochies!

MVA's make me cry....off to get some tissue..... :hit

So glad you are ok....you can solve the car issue later. Give yourself a couple days to assess the body damage. You know as I do, fellow LMT, that you won't really know for a couple of days, esp those strains, sprains, and discs in the neck. ICE is your friend, unless, of course, it is on the road....

Thanks, all! Hey, free, the only thing that can help this torn up body right now is some deep tissue resetting! THAT won't happen, so its "try to walk upright and do the best one can" time.

It was a little scary but not for myself.....it happened real slow motion and sort of like a movie and I kept thinking, "I can't stop this, its happening anyway!" Sort of surreal, really. Never been in a vehicle that flipped completely over before....kind of weird!

AND....I had two cartons of my beautiful eggs in the floor boards~an 18 ct. and 12 ct.~that are now scrambled on the floor. Hate to see that beauty and food wasted.....I know that sounds stupid, but I happen to enjoy the appearance of my eggs so much that I smile with gratification each time I open my ancient fridge and see them on the door. :p

Thank you all and please pray that I can find a solution. Of course, this will take all my income tax and I probably won't be getting sheep, geese, bees or my leanto now....maybe some other time, huh? Oh! And it also cancels out my utility trailer, rear tine tiller and new fridge. :(

Clearly wasn't meant to have those things, huh? :D

Bee,

Like Quail said, "You are not replaceable."

All the other things you wanted will come in time. God must have something different in mind for you first.

Glad they understood at work.

Even more glad you are OK. :hugs
