I love the way is is looking over the fence thru the trees....flowers are a nice touch too :)

I used to have a paint. Fred was his name and he was plain crazy. I used to call him Freddy Kruger.

I bought him from a friend of a friend for $75 when I was 19 or 20. I had very little horse experience but my dad bought a place up in the hills and got horses and crabby old Fred was not well cared for and very thin. So when I found out I could buy him I jumped on it.

He had a lovely habit of deciding to take matters into his own hands.....we'd be calmly walking along on a peaceful ride and he would decide to spice things up a bit and take off at a full gallop. Unstoppable. Down hills, off trails, thru brush... you name it.

You know that bumper sticker that says "get in, sit down, hold on and shut up"? He needed that tattooed to his ass.

Quail, you can use it for the POW, if you think it'll work.

Yep, each and every one was lovely.....and they brought sunshine my way!!!! The sun came out today and is supposed to stick around for awhile!!!! :weee :celebrate :ya Thank you, gals!!!

Can I get an "AMEN" and a "Hallelujah!!!!" :celebrate :woot :bun

My grass is greening up in just the last few days and my chives and rhubarb are peeking through the mud.....guys, spring is slow but it sure is coming, thank the good Lord above! :bow

Broody is still sitting her nest and all looks well with the eggs. I'm hoping for a good hatch this time and the broody pen is optimal for peace and quiet.

Now...time for spring clean up of the yard.... :( Now is when the hard stuff starts~101 projects that all need to be done this month and the next. :barnie

Yup when Spring finally does spring it will probably be REAL quiet around here for a while. We will probably all be out working our little tails off. :)

And we'll be too tired in the evenings to keep our eyes open 5 minutes past supper

Ahh, but it will feel good to be outside and doing good honest work and getting a good night's sleep because of it!

I was outside all day yesterday. I weeded the garlic, I cleaned the little pond in the front yard, it is more of a birdbath, but it is deep enough to hold some fish that eat the mosquito larvae, and I weeded one of our big flower beds in the front yard as well. I plan on doing more of the same today.

DH and I are going for a ride in the morning,...all I know it is over Sewell mountain and it will be a long scenic trip. Going to look at a dumptruck,...some people get critters,...I get equipment. :idunno
