Gotcha! ;)

He was great....tastier than the lamb I had had before, so I guess they are right about hair sheep vs. woolly breeds when it comes to refined flavor.

It still amazes me how these sheep can stay that fat on just hay! My chickens and Jake are still eating fat trimmings and the fat around all the innards!

Barred, they will be residing along with their sheeples! The folks that have my Bettys will also be taking my chickens...they just have to get their barn ready.

I might also be able to rehome Jake with one of my sons. He might be getting a place with some land and can take Jake along to work with him and such. He's been wanting to take Jake with him anyway, so it will work out lovely.

The snow is pelting down here like rain and we currently have about 10 in. or more. It is a beautiful snow! My windshield wipers decided to konk out on my way home so I drove home with my head hanging out the window....4 miles. :p

I know this isn't a popular view but I kind of like it when the snow brings all the world to a halt and everyone has to stay home and snuggle down. My kids and I always treated those days like a holiday and would do special things together.

Now the kids aren't here, I still got a little pile of snacky foods together when I got home from work, put in a good movie and snuggled down on the couch. From there I can watch the snow deepen and thank God that I have a warm and snug home, good food and a soft place to land!

Hope you all are warm and snug in your homes in this deluge of snow! :frow

We are. Another 9 inches or so expected tonight. Not sure where we're going to put it all. We had to add goat fencing because the wether climbed over the other day. :barnie
I confess I like that the pace of life slows down and everything looks clean and bright. I am having a hard time getting back into the routine of work because it seems every other day we have a snow day or delay. Today we got sent home 2 hours early. But to just stand on my deck and look out toward the barn blanketed in fresh snow. I don't think anything is as quiet as my backyard in the middle of a snowy night.

I never had any of my animals step over the fence, but last year, we had so much snow that I couldn't open the door to the goat pen. And, poor Gidget couldn't really walk-the snow was well past her belly. So, I stepped over the fence to dig them out.
