The ram is getting cross-wise with my old dog, Lucy.... He's just too confident for his own good and too hoggy over food....when she is eating something, he will bull his way into it and get his face severly slobbered for his troubles! :gig

I hear this Cujo sounding hullabuloo out in the yard and see the ram running away and poor Lucy gimping her way across the yard..... she really can't do him much damage, as her teeth are near worn away, but it sounds like someone's worst nightmare!!! :ep

Funny to watch her go all wolf on his face and not a mark is left.... :gig

Your sheep are so pretty!

There are all these new construction sites going up and all these big ol houses sitting around empty. Sad that people are trying to get the newer, bigger stuff all the time. I hate that all the rural properties are being developed while so many existing properties are sitting on the market empty. We have tons of office buildings sitting empty in town and what are they building across the street.....new office buildings :he Sometimes, we as a species just don't make much sense, ya know?

I am glad to hear that things are going well for the Bat :) I hope things go the way that you are hoping.

Funny about the dog and the ram.....animal interactions are hilarious. Wish I had a farm, I think I'd just park myself in a nice chair all day and watch.

Tax write-offs, I'm assuming....but there is something really broken with a system that encourages buildings made with nonrenewable resources and does not require people to recycle the old buildings first. Basically, this is how I see it....those old houses, if structurally sound, should be recycled before new structures are built. At least tear them down and use the materials to build the new house or something! It's all such a big waste! :(

Dace, I do just that...I just sit around some evenings and watch the animals interact. I'm not sure how that goes for some folks when the animals of different species are in different paddocks or pens, but for me it's a big free for all and it's divine! And so very entertaining!

Youngest son went to his senior prom tonight....kind of a sad thing and the end of an era for me. My time as a full time mother will soon be ending...I think.... Does it ever really end? Not sure and, if my current circumstance is the average, I probably won't be having any empty nest syndrome for awhile. :p

Children growing up and on to the next phase, whatever that may be...well..that's some heavy stuff. It's a weird feeling, to be sure. :/

Bee, your pics are just amazeing!! LOVE the fence by the way. We are trying to get more fenceing as well...to let the goats have the woods...or at least part of it. I am going this next week to check on a gov. grant for our pond digging. :D
Glad to hear good news on the homefront. :thumbsup All your animals look so content....hope you have little lambs soon, they are so much fun.

Bee - your place is beautiful :love I moved an old adirondack (sp) chair (that I picked up from the dump :D ) out next to my animals so I can sit and watch them and soak up the peace when I have the opportunity.

I understand a little about the kids growing up. My oldest will be 16 in June and he came home this week with the book for class rings. I look at him sometimes and am surprised to see how much he looks like a man instead of a child. Of course I still have DS13 and DS5 to go, but it is a strange feeling to look at my 1st born and realize he's almost grown.

TTs, I have two old Adirondacks that I got for $10...they are pretty worn and just pretty. They make watching animal TV so relaxing! :D

I added a page to my personal page~page 2~ that can be relevant to prepping for emergencies and for striving for a more simple life...best tip I've ever gotten and I wanted to pass it along. :)
