Today may by my last chance to replow the garden before it hardens up. I have spread fresh chicken poop all over the top, It will breakdown/cool off over winter and be just right in March.

AND I need to spread out the hay piles I put by the fruit trees and elderberry trees.
And its suppose to be 49 at noon, so I'll plan on working outside at noon and be done by 3/3:30 I want to top off the mowing in the yard and around the garden, the chickens will love that.

Have a great and safe day!
Ok, I put the turkey in the oven at 10 - got everything outside done, spread the grass/hay out, pulled up the frost dead marigolds, took the tomato trellis down, gave the chickens the turnip greens & turned/plowed the chicken poop in, put all the mess in the wheelbarrow, mowed the yard and around the garden, I got done at 3,

I have a lot to cook next Wednesday and Thursday so getting the turkey out of the way is a good thing. I debone it and ziplock bag it, put it in the freezer. It keeps nicely and all I will need to do is thaw and heat it up. Anyway, I got that all cooled and squared away.
Have a good night ,

@Grandmas Porch you have a nice looking garden spot.

Coffee is ready! Cereal for breakfast, what’s for supper? I’ve run out of leftovers, guess I’ll have to cook something. LOL

Spent over $300 on 1x12 lumber yesterday. Terrible prices. I have to finish the shelves for the small utility room before Thanksgiving so I can get stuff off the table. Chairs have boxes in them, really got to get a grip on the kitchen. Mobile home cabinets leave a lot to be desired. I’ll have enough lumber to build shelf towers in the other 2 bedroom closets and bought brackets for hanging the clothes pole. I can finish those after Thanksgiving.

Yes, I agree @Grandmas Porch wonderful garden spot, makes me want to redo mine this spring.

@baymule Holy Hannah on the prices, good luck making shelves, hopefully you can get everything where you want it soon.

Today it is cold 24F at 4:30 am, tomorrow and Sat it is only supposed to be in the teens but then headed back to the 30s. I am cold already and I haven't even been outside. We are on our 4th day of flurries, hasn't amounted to much more than 2 inches but makes for slick roads in the mornings.

Going to make some bread and potatoes in the oven to warm up the kitchen today, it stays warm enough with the wood stove but not toasty like other rooms.

DD8 had 7 kids out sick in her class yesterday, coughs and fevers, 'tis the season:(

I’m going to precook some pies and a casserole to put in freezer. Then just thaw and warm up for Thanksgiving. The gas oven will warm the house up. Cold here, but not as cold as the rest of y’all!
This is my plan too. I made and froze 6 pie shells on Saturday. So far 3 of them have been turned into pies and frozen. Going to do more today. Then the casserole.
but this is our January weather temps! We're like 15 below Nov norm. I'm cold. 😦
I only saw one wooly bear caterpillar this fall, and it was almost all brown. I think he was lying!
